@Twiztid-Maddox Well, going on what you said, why would 'true' gamers only play both consoles when there is also a third option? Either way what you said isn't true. Owning all the consoles doesn't instantly make you a truer gamer than somebody else who owns just the one. It's all personal preference. Some will buy them all, others won't. Personally I don't limit myself to just one console, but that's just me.

I already have a Wii U, but I'm in no rush to get the PS4 just yet. Give it a year and then I might consider it. The Xbox One doesn't interest me, I may just upgrade my PC instead of getting an Xbox One.

@48zebras @TomMcShea @tom_zombyy Actually A Link Between Worlds does try new things. You can complete the dungeons in any order, which only one other game in the series allows you to do (so this isn't something that has been over-used many times in the series) and the dungeons themselves are open with multiple ways to beat them, which is a first for the series as past dungeons have always had a strict order of things to do. Sure, it still feels and plays like Zelda, but it isn't 80's old. It's actually a refreshing change.

I absolutely agree with the criticisms levelled at the more recent Zelda games. They are still very enjoyable overall, but the word 'but' really does sum up how you felt a lot of the time. It really does seem that A Link Between Worlds brings Zelda back to the basics, while also taking the series forward in the right direction.

Great video Tom.

@robbiejones The Vita is a great piece of kit, but the library of 3DS games destroys the Vita's library of games.

@crazeon Outside of Ocarina, which is my favourite, I generally prefer 2D Zelda games. My second, third and fourth favourite Zelda games are all 2D titles.

@me3639 When you have as many different reviewers as GameSpot you're bound to get conflicting opinions. Some love the similarities between games in specific series, others don't. And it is completely disrespectful to criticize Nintendo for continually copying and pasting their games. The Zelda series is a prime example of Nintendo continually doing new things. No two games in the series, other than the Oracle duo and Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks, are identical. No other series I can think of changes on such a regular basis. And you could use that copy/past argument against any major dev or publisher. For instance look at Bethesda. Outside of the change of setting Oblivion and Fallout 3 play almost identical. But they are both great games. And I'd say two games, from completely different franchises, playing as similarly as those two do is a lot worse than two games from only a single franchise.
