this is what you do.... on the xmb you write a message to all your friends then start the game and they can join it... also dont forget that the firmware update is coming soon (with multitasking) so hopefully you'll be able to access your friends list in game once the update comes (just like the 360). so dont get your panties in a wad and lets see what happens.
if they do it right i think it has lots of potential. meet someone new? go to their page and check out their accomplishments and what they are all about. want to meet some guys your age so you dont have to put up with little kids or old farts? endless potential if they do it right... crossing my fingers they do it right.

yup, you do get what you pay for. the PS3 is more expensive than the 360, so going by your "analysis", the PS3 is better because it costs more. lol... good one... i wonder how much ms pays him to troll the boards.... lol
awesome, now i'll probably just buy the xbox vision cam and it'll work on both... so do you think sony came out with the usb camera drivers(firmware update) so we can use a usb camera to put our faces on games... rainbow six anyone?

If you watch the videos yes there are self shadows....so I want to say yes You must have been watching the 360 videos because in all the PS3 videos that I've seen, there are no self-shadows. The PS3 videos @ IGN are listed as being PS3 videos while the 360 videos are from the Play of the Day articles. well from experience... didnt gamespot say that nba2k7 for the ps3 looked different then the 360 one? and i played both and own the ps3 one (i love the sixaxis free throws) .... and uhh... they look exactly the same.. so im pretty sure these will look exactly the same with the difference being the controls.
i played the 360 demo last night and bating was tough anyways (you use the analog stick and have to time everything perfect), it sounds like batting is gonna take a minute to figure out no matter what version you get.... if its anything like nba 2k7's free throw with the sixaxis its gonna take a few minutes to figure out and i'll like it a lot once i do.
