online is free on the ps3... i own all all 3 systems and can tell you its great owning all 3. the main difference between the ps3 and the 360 is gonna come down to first party games. on multisystem games it just depends on which one you think you will enjoy it better, and it'll come down to would you rather play it using a sixaxis controller or a 360 controller. i personally like the feel of the sixaxis better and i really like the interface of the menu system on the ps3.
ps3 pros
-no need to buy attachments (hddvd player, wirelress internet adapter, rechargeable batteries)
 -first party games
-if you liked the feel of the ps2 controller you'll feel at home here
-free online (works great and will improve)
ps3 cons
-not a lot of games out at the moment
-the online store is in its infancy
xbox 360 pros
-lots of games out
-great online system
 -first party games
xbox 360 cons
-have to buy lots of add ons
-50 bucks for online
all in all they are both great and i think both their online plans will be equal by the end of the year. i personally like my ps3 better and probably will buy all the 3rd party games for it and just buy the 1st party games for the 360, but that's just because i love the feel of the ps3 controler.
I'll be getting this on March 5th(My Birthday). There's a store here in NYC that gets their games way early and I'll be hittting them up for Motorstor & NBA Streets Homecourt. MusashiSensilucky bastard, the eb over here always get everything a day after the release date... grr.... but yea next week its gonna be anarchy... woohoo... get ready to get mud on them tires boy
Sony has said all along that later units would have software emulation only when the PS2 chips were removed during production changes. The BC will be software emulation and because of that "some" games will not work until updates are released. Very similar to the BC situation with the 360. sheesh.
