Season 1 lost me a bit towards the end, while I eventually understood everything that happened, it seemed overly convoluted and didn't present its ideas well. Kinda like they were trying to impress the audience with how sophisticated the show is by making the storytelling overly cryptic.
I'll take more straightforward storytelling that deals with complex topics over more convoluted storytelling that keeps you guessing and makes it hard to figure out what exactly is going on.
@sdzald: there is a difference between criticism and irrational obsession. I don't even disagree that the animations aren't very good, but its a bit silly how this has completely dominated discussion about the game to the point where anything else (positive or negative) is being completely ignored.
especially in light of how Bioware games have never had good animations.
this shit has been blown way out of proportion. Just a few trolls making a bunch of noise that drowns out any reasonable discussion on the game, like with ME3's ending or The Witcher 3's visual downgrade.
If it wasn't the animations, these people would have found something else to go batshit over. Pretty much everyone I know who actually has played the trial (including myself) seems to be enjoying it.
