[QUOTE="Sp4rtan_3"]

[QUOTE="devious742"] Dragon Age origins was being labeled as a Spiritual Successor to Baldur's Gate by bioware themselves as a marketing stunt... not only that but it was made with PC in mind..

blue_hazy_basic

Yet was also released on consoles, so I dont get this whole "it was consolized" business when the 1st was already on consoles :|

Its the Oblivion factor. Morrowind on the 360 was great, but alot of console players couldn't work out what to do when they weren't spoonfed, hell according to the boards alot struggled to find Balmora or to understand that combat was run by dice rolls behind the scenes "But why aren't I hitting him?" was the cry. So what went from a great PC port of Morrowind became Oblivion, a dumbed down, hold your hand game to appease the console audience, but which also affected the PC game. Now leap forward to DAO. Again a great game (I only played this one on PC) but sections of the console audience struggled to get to grips with actually having to use some strategy and tactics. So we get a Bioware RPG where you you can button mash through it?!?!?! You don't see how the console audience has changed the nature of the game?

Seriously, what's the problem with non-dice-roll combat? The only problem I had with Morrowing was the freaking dice-roll controlled combat (oh and those freaking Cliff Racers!!!) when you are supposed to have real time fighting. If Oblivion was a Morrowind with modified combat it would have rocked hard. But Oblivion lacked in the rest of departments: story, characters, etc. Heck, why couldn't I freaking loot a guard's armor if I freaking killed him!

My hype for this game is really fading away:?:(devious742
I think any hype I had built up for this game just went out the window. Have other games I want to buy more that are coming out. Golden Sun DS here I come!

I understand what you all are saying, but you can go online and find alot of classic games for free. The other day I was playing Burger Time while sitting in my cubicle :D. I figure the makers of Combat made their money years ago. Charging for combat is just another way for MS to line their pockets.

First off, as a couple have said already, Microsoft probably didn't get Combat freely, and it isn't free to host the files. Also, someone had to "update" the game so it is playable on your console: usuable controls, all the code, the graphics, etc. And that someone had to get paid.

It's impossible to be number 2 for Sony or Microsoft this gen. PC is number 1 and will always be, and Wii is #2 for this gen.

Uh... I don't think you know what a minigame is :?

yanbuco2712
Seriously, those aren't minigames. They are just different levels in one game. If you want minigames go play Mario Party.

Why does everyone always want an HD remake? Seriously, I would like them more if they did a sequel instead of just pumping out old games with new graphics.

My main gripe with Fallout New Vegas is the stupid INVISIBLE WALLS!!! Seriously, why in the nine hells can't I walk up the mountain that's right in front of me.

The way i see it is with kinect you pretend to play the game, and Move as how you want to play the game. I can't see myself ever pretending and making a gun shape with my hand playing games. Which for me takes away the whole idea of playing a game to begin with. However Move for example with killzone 3 would support Move if you would like the better accuracy. You would be able to choose between playing with a controller or with the Move. Ain't that good idea? Like a PC with a keyboard and mouse for shooters, and a controller for fighting games etc.

As much as I don;t love to "support" Kinect, your whole post is just screaming "I'M A FANBOY BUT I DISGUISE MY OPINIONS WITH FLAWED LOGIC!!!"

Wether you use Kb&M, the Wii controller, a normal controller, the Move or Kinect, you will always be pretending to play the game. As long as the game is maped to certain "actions"; for example pointing and clicking with a mouse to shoot a gun, or using the Move with the add-on you showed to point and shoot, it will always be pretending to play the game. The only way to stop pretending to play a game is ether to have virtual reality where you have to move and do the actions, or doing it in real life.

With that aside, wether you are pointing with your hand, or pointing with a Move controller, you are doing the same freaking thing! Except that in the later you have a plastic controller in your hand.

Also, if I wanted to really use a gun, I would ether go out with my friends and go play some paintball, or freaking join the army.
