Who Cares? There are more important things to worry about in the world then where a system was made at, seriously, some of the topics I see on this board are borderline insane, but to each there own though.

I don't know if it's just me or what but I don't find that Far Cry 3 is all that amazing to look at. On top of that it doesn't really seem like it's optimized that well imo.
I messed with it for hours last night trying to get it to run at 60 fps and make it look as best I could. I just could not find that balance I was looking for.
Anyone found that sweet spot yet?

You more then likely have some things up that kill the framerate of the game, the game looks amazing but lacks in diversity and art direction, if thats what you are looking for then you are playing the wrong game, but the game is optimized well, If I can run it at maxed out with a 7850 then i dont see why shouldnt as well, but I am playing it at 1650x1050 and I have a couple of things turned off, but overall though it still looks amazing all things considered.
I am happy with 360, but I will admit it is time for MS to release a new system asap, there aren't that many exclusive games I want to play for it coming out next year.
Nothing barring XBLA games. If there was anything else for the 360 it would be announced by now. Gears Judgment is the 360's swansong and then, hopefully, the 720 will launch.Floppy_Jim
Outside of Gears and XBLA games, I see nothing as well, I do believe the 720 will be out by years end, I just can't see MS holding off on it for another year.
Yeah, malaria in FC2 was annoying. After putting a ton of hours into both FC2 and FC3, I still dont see them as different enough that someone could hate one and love the other.

Your like the first person I heard say that, to each their own, but imo you are wrong, there are a ton of things in FC3 that makes it leaps above the previous game, the customization, animals in the wild to hunt, Its like Skyrim, Assassins Creed and Far Cry all wrap up in one game, I dont see how anyone can say its not a improvement over the previous game in every way possible, its far from FC2, but whatever I am not going to argue or even debate something that is pointless anyway, to each their own.
Sure.. As long as people admit that it's basically the same game as Far Cry 2 and retroactively make that the people's choice for 2008.

alright so this game is kicking my a$$$ and well i dont want to be a weenie and lower the difficulty. so anybody got any general advice?
I think I'm about to finish up in Flotsam (Triss has been kidnapped) and I haven't gotten any new armor and I just got some new steel swords, but usng a basic silver one so I was thinking part of the reason I'm having so much difficulty is that my equipment sucks. However most of the stuff is really expensive.

If you are at the begging of the game, it is tough at the beginning, use bombs, traps and potions and you should be fine, in Act 2 the game gets to be so much easier.
Seriously disappointed this year for games. Did I have fun playing games this year? Of course. But probably not as much fun as I could have. Developers have spent too much time on HD releases of past games and sequels. Too many developers have decided to play it safe with sequels to already established video game franchises and gamers are starting to feel fatigue with getting too much of the same year after year. I think some can blame it on the limited hardware power the current console generation offers and that it's probably time for a new console after 6-7 years in the current generation. Many will continue to blame Activision and their CEO for exploiting a formula that allows them to make games that continue to sell, no matter if there are any significant improvements to the actual game. Many other game companies are starting to follow that formula.
I think the 360 is the main console here that suffers from this downward trend. I've actually found many more original IP's/games on PC than I have with 360.
With all that said, let's hope for a better 2013. May certainly end up being the final year for the 360.

The reason why there is so many sequels is because gamers arent buying new ips, especially this late in the console cycle, developers play it safe as they should at the end of a console cycle, so you cant blame them, blame gamers for this. Do I hate it? Yes, but you dont have to buy their games and support new Ips, I agree this year has been a weak year for gaming, but its all good though.
I'm sort of stuck between a few games, and I was wondering if anyone can help me with what to choose to get. Assassin's Creed I usually wait until right after Christmas to pick up because it always drops $20 in price. But as for other games, I will probably only get 2 others this holiday season until I start working again. Right now it's a toss up between a few titles. Halo 4, Borderlands 2, Dishonored, Far Cry 3 and Bioshock Infinite when it comes out. Help please?

Out of those games I would go with Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite.
