They copy/pasted the Batman Arkham formula

I often see gamers "criticizing" the "Copy´n Paste Formula" but I don´t see how this would be something to criticize, since actually the first ever PONG, they in fact copy´n pasted every game, in every genre along with certain game-mechanics in each of the games out there.

It´s a logical thing that´s happening, or do people want to be stuck on one BATMAN ARKHAM game, one GTA game, one MORTAL KOMBAT game etc. while not wanting other games with the same or similiar meachnic?

It's not a problem that they took the formula. My problem is that they took it and didn't even improve upon it.

Why must Games always being "improved" at all?

Can´t gamers enjoy "old" things so they must somehow be "improved" for them to enjoy them?

In my personal opinion, games can be "improved" as well as making a "step backwards" at the same time, with GTA V being the best example for such a case while all the fan-boys (and there are BILLIONS of it!) are unwilling to see that sad fact.

GTA V improved on everything BUT the actual missions. I remember GTA III having missions being so much fun as well as GTA VICE CITY and SAN ANDREAS, but then again GTA IV and GTA V were such boring letdowns mission-wise, that i even stopped playing them somewhere in the middle.

It seems i have a similiar problem with SPIDER-MAN but that has nothing to do with less "improvement" and probably more with the fact they focused too much on graphics and game-play mechanics rather than making it a joyride when it comes to missions.

There are passages in PAUL YOUNG´s "Everytime you go away" where i always hear "...you take a piece of MEAT with you!" rather than being "...you take a piece of ME with you" what he is actually singing.

Since SPIDER-MAN by Insomniac was being so extremely hyped by everyone, i thought it´s just me again who is obviously "strange" or "weird" to the point of just not being able to "enjoy" the game as everyone else is obviously doing.

Now the game ain´t bad, it´s just...i don´t even know how to describe it...but there just ain´t "THAT" what kept me playing as for example the ARKHAM TRILOGY was. BTW ARKHAM KNIGHT was a great game and i have no clue why so many people did not enjoy it, but it probably was the vehicle?

People are morons...so of course i prefer good ole single-player games rather than playing with...well...morons...hehe!

On a serious note, those multiplayer-games are getting always boring for me way too fast, but i understand why obviously they´re so "successful"...besides the industry shoving one multiplayer-game after another into gamers asses, regardless no one really asked the industry for it to do that.

People seem to be hooked on that feeling of "playing against another human being" and that was what made it "interesting" for me...back the days when i used to play UNREAL TOURNAMENT (yes...the very first one). But that "interesting" point seemed to rather fade away too quickly, so the fun was gone after a few weeks.

BATTLEFIELD II...2 Months, PUBG - 1 Month. GTA ONLINE - 3 Months. Those three titles i remember have been those i was playing the longest, and i never got back to them ever again.

There is just no point for me playing against others with actually just doing the same over and over again...like....JUMP! SHOOT! DODGE! SHOOT! DUCK! SHOOT! ROLL! SHOOT! CAMP....SHOOT!...SHOOT!....JUMP! repeat.

Oh and well it also makes no point in playing against people who play PUBG 24/7 with having super-inhuman reflexes to the point of not even needing any aimbot-hacks....while cheaters being the really last thing i want to deal with while playing games.

To me, Multiplayer-Only games are rather DEAD. If i spot some great new interesting article about this or that new game coming and i realize it´s Multiplayer-Only, i instantly stop reading and forget the title as it doesn´t even exist.

@wladolfputler: Most people aren't and just go about their day to day. You're looking at a forum of people who are compelled to comment about it regularly. It's important to recognize this doesn't represent the norm. Honestly IRL I never talk to anyone about this stuff and nobody approaches me with their own views either. Same thing with System Wars.

I remember there was this one dude Telekill (I think that's who it was) that was getting depressed on the regular in here because it's like he didn't think about anything else and seemed to view things through this one lens, really needed to touch some grass. I hope he's doing ok.

It's important to stay grounded.

I got ya! It is just...i spent some time on Reddit....and OH MY! That whole thing is even far worse there! So you guys here are actually not even that "bad" when it comes to this and i actually should ask this question on Reddit, but guess what happens there if i would ask such a question on r/politics (a place where i am actually banned already)?

My thread/comment would either just get downvoted into oblivion so no one can see it or, and thats rather what would be happening (if it wouldn´t have happened already), some mod erasing it so as it never even existed there along with banning my ass.

I guess i also told it somewhere else here, that Reddit went to a total shitstain of a site within the last years and now shit is hitting the fan there with Trump and all things related to thim.

...on a serious note...why are you americans so furious when it comes to politics?

I am european and while people aren´t aware of that fact, i just have to say something bad about Biden and americans instantly throw me to the extreme right, do i on the opposite make fun of Trump (as i am doing most of the time LOL) then the right instantly throws me to the political extreme left.

Don´t you guys taking all this political nonsense a lil too serious?

i think for some people, politics have become their identity, part of their personality.

An interesting point, but you think those are really just "some" people? As it looks to me on a site like for example that Reddit-Shitstain, there seem an awful lots of people with obvious personal issues then.

It's our conservatives who are aggressive and prone to approaching politics with pathos.

That´s what i was also observing way too often.

Now i am living in Austria and we barely have to do with politics happening in the US, but then again we have the Q-Anon movement here, a pretty fu**ed up organisation if someone would ask me.

Now a few years ago, one of my colleagues at work called me and told me about "the latest news" of american kids being "raped" and "slaughtered" by a secret movement, with mostly liberals behind it. I was thinking the fu**er is probably just fu**in with me, but the nutcase was dead serious with that and from that time on, he went downhill to the point of having to take medications for his mental problems (which haven´t been too obvious at that time)

Back those days when he made that call, i never even heard about Q-Anon and all those "fake news" they were spreading, kinda pretty shocking if you realize that one of your friends (who suffered certain mental problems to begin with) fell for that stupid crap.

So that raises the question, how mentally fu**ed up are those Q-Anon followers really?

Terminator 2

To me, this title is one of the most overrated movie ever while every other Terminator-Movie (except T3, which was in fact the same as T2) in that franchise has more balls than the more or less rather "pathetic" T2.

I mean even back those days i just found the idea of T-800 shooting people in their knees just to save those useless lifes, along with John Connor being a ludicrous pissant of a softie, was just something making the whole movie rather a political correct joke than being something to be taken any serious....let alone making the movie something like a "cult-classic" like its original predecessor.

But that doesn´t mean i hated T2 nor is it a bad movie, T-1000 or better good ole Jason Patrick still rocks.

...on a serious note, back the days when we had those fancy kewl box-covers, i was buying them to make my proud collection keep growing, while i wasn´t pirating games.

Now that everything is digital anyway, i am mostly pirating games coz there is no point in buying digital crap, especially if i don´t even really own it all.
