I have to disagree with all the other posters. I expect WoW to end its life span within 3-5 years, and after that Blizzard will no longer release new content for it. They'll move onto another MMO, I'm guessing a Diablo one. And I'm almost positive there will be a Warcraft 4, it's their original RTS and I doubt they'll abandon it for WoW.

I'm really just reiterating a lot of what's already been said...

Black and White is an interesting game to start off. It's cool to play as a god, and it starts off feeling like it has an interesting basis for the gameplay, but as you get into it... you realize the game basically boils down to you and your creature. Yes, there is this RTS element of managing your town(s) so that your influence expands, that way you can perform miracles (magic) elsewhere on the map and what not, but it's very mediocre. And the story, well I mean, it's not really a story.

In the first Black and White, good versus evil turns into will you kill your enemy's towns to destroy his influence or attempt to take them over with 'virtuous' deeds, and the second one improves upon this in some ways. The evil part is no longer just you killing your enemies with your miracles or direct actions (throwing rocks) but you can now recruit armies and go wreak havoc with them, which I thought was cool. The good part was more of 'lets build a huge, cool city and everyone else will want to come here'. I never really got into being good because it didn't appeal to me, but it didn't appeal to me in the first one either. However, certain parts of the game are worse than the first one. Whereas in the original your creature grew as time passed and you had to teach him miracles and actions, the second one overly simplifies it with you buying him actions, abilities and attributes with 'tribute', and I thought that was an unnecessary cop out.

Not that I'm trying to be overly negative, I really kind of like both games, but as mfsa said, you really end up asking for more from the game and it just doesn't deliver.

Edit: sp and what not

Edit 4: I'm too much of a perfectionist with my posts.

Halo 3 is a great game; amazingly fun to play. I own it and I've beaten, and once you get past the fact that you have to use a controller over a mouse and keyboard, its great. It has a perfec tsense of action mixed with tactical play, with some great vehicle sequences and an amazing cinematic feel. Play the last level and you'll know exactly what I mean.

The main reason I think Halo can't make it as big in the PC market as it does in the console market is because split screen co-op and multiplayer don't transfer over as easily. I know you couldn't play coop out of the box with Halo 1, and I think you couldn't with Halo 2. Yes yes I know there's mods and what not, but seriously, whats easier than having somebody come over, grab a second controller and blasting through the campaign. Or, setting up two massive TVs are your friends house with 2 360's and playing through the entire campaign on Legendary. I tell you, you haven't experienced Halo 3 in its full glory until you've done this, it's outrageous.

In closing, Halo 3 is a great game, and try this thread of bashing Haloin System Wars. It will probably come to the PC in about 2 years.

Edit: tried to stop using 'amazing' so much :P

Edit 2: Redirected to the original topic zomg

Like someone else said, if you're gonna play the multiplayer, get Halo 3. Can get a lot more play time out of that. Otherwise, go for the Shocker.

Just bought a 360 3 weeks ago.

Edit: mostly for Halo 3, Mass Effect, Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Soul Cal 4 and GTA IV. I'm sure there will be other must-have-games for me as well.
