James Oliver Rigney, Jr., aka Robert Jordan, died today at about 2:45 PM EST. He was probably best known for writing the Wheel of Time series.

I liked the first two games, but I would say the first one had a better Marine campaign (darker, scarier), but the Alien campaign was cooler in the second one, if only because you started as a face hugger (WOOT!). I would appreciate a third one; they could do a lot with it.

Lots of games left for the year, but Orange Box is the next one.

I would love for remakes to be made of games. What would make it even better I think would be for the package to include the original version of the game, a remastered version (just improved graphics), and then the enhanced edition (improved graphics, content and gameplay). That way, you could have many different experiences with the game.

If you're a huge C&C fan, you should get it. If not, get COH. Or, get both!

I too was a bit disappointed with the look of the Starcraft 2. While the game does look fun, and it will probably be great, I wanted that kind of realistic and gritty look that Starcraft had. It doesn't look as cartoony as Warcraft 3 or WoW, but it really doesn't look the same, which is too bad.

Ground Control really is a game that needs to be played by any RTS fan. It's such a great game, it's unbelievable.

I'm waiting to get a DirectX 10 graphics card, and for that I'm waiting to build a whole new computer in about a year, so... I went with option 3.

I played it a bit and I wasn't impressed. The gameplay felt uninspired, the weapons were pretty much what you would expect to be in the game, the vehicles were very standard... basically, the game felt really like nothing much new to me.

Of course, I never was a huge fan of Quake multiplayer, nor did I ever play the original Enemy Territory. But, I still wasn't impressed, and I don't plan on buying the game.
