[QUOTE="niall077"]I guess MS used VGcharts to get there ps3 numbers :) jdang307
You know, I wondered the exact thing, how the hell does MS know what numbers Sony sold.

if u read the full article they write :

This morning, Microsoft said the Xbox 360 still outsold the PS3 two-to-one last week, according to "estimates from top retailers."

although it still may not be accurate

[QUOTE="DuDisNow"][QUOTE="hrt_rulz01"]I think the PS3 will do better then everyone thinks it will... Koalakommander

I think it will too, but the Wii and 360 will still do better.

Listen, if PS3 matched 360s sales for Novemember with no established franchises, what makes you think the 360 is the clear cut winner in 2008 when MGS4 and GT5 are released?

PS3 isn't the sh***y console anymore. It's a $400 beast that plays blu-ray movies and it's here to stay.

we dont even have the november numbers yet

and if u are using vgchartz might as well just be guessing the numbers by yourself

[QUOTE="Tylendal"]People who think that Nintendo are creating an artificial shortage need to read this.mjarantilla

How about all during the year when we all saw decreased NPD sales and there was always a sell out??

I think it was JAN 435K then Feb 335K yet it was always sold out?

apparently they can produce 1.8 mil a month on holiday months but on regular months they can only produce ~500k

watch the numbers go back to ~500k after the holidays which is great anyhow, but yet ppl will say its still being sold out and they cant keep up with demand

i h8 to break it to u ppl but thats creating artificial demand

What makes you think they've been producing 1.8 million a month all year? I'd say that they only just recently reached production limits of 1.8 million a month. Plus, as I recall, sales in North America jumped up from 300k/month to 500k/month when the sales in Japan dipped, whereas back in January and February, the Wii was selling only slightly less than the DS.

i didnt say they were producing 1.8m a month all year long. read what i wrote again. what im basically saying is watch them start producing less after this holiday system but ppl will still be saying they are selling out and cant keep up with demand. Which would then show artificial shortage.

It's actually the important for business that make consumer goods. Since November is close to the end of the year they make an effort to boost sales by discounting items and getting people to spend money. This helps the company sales go from red to black, hence Black Friday....don't you love holidays made up by corporations to suck money from us...? :lol:arinya

thats where i thought the name came from aswell but if u look at the wiki link it seems that is not the origin... whatever
