This is why they should have delayed it for a few months instead of rushing it for the holidays there were just so many little annoying things that held this title back..still one of my favorite games of the year though...what the hell is up with that mentality of developers nowadays? Release everything during the holidays....people will buy good games whenever the hell they come out.Kahuna_1

huh? the reason it sold so well is cause of the holidays, it was a mediocre game with pretty graphics

even with a few months extra i dont think they could of made it that much better, and im sure it wouldnt of sold as well

Goldeneye...sucked?

I've honestly never heard that before...

goldeneye was a great game for its time

[QUOTE="haris12121212"]The normal sales for Wii and the Ps3 are around 40k... If wii managed to sell 74k it's probably because of a new game.Sgt_Crow

Uhm, doh? :|
Don't you think the PS3 was leading in software sales those weeks because Ratched & Clank and Uncharted came out?

well uncharted did horrible there i dunno about ratchet

i think got a boost from some new dynasty warrior game or something like that, the japanese love those games

i dunno why everyone is bashin it already just cause its made by treyarch

i mean look at this way either u get another cod next year to play, it prob wont be as greaet as infinity ward but atleast u get another game

otherwise you would prob have to wait till 2009 for infinty ward to make another one

so the way i see it, having a new cod to play next year is better than having no game to play

and theres just as many modern shooters out there as wwII shooters so i dunno why ppl are whining bout that aswell

[QUOTE="Paul_Phoenicks"][QUOTE="PhoebusFlows"]

I am aware some quotes are misused, but this one is especially bad.

http://www.gamebump.com/go/official_kane_and_lynch_website_lies_about_its_scores

Just looking at the pics you can tell Eidos was trying to make it look like those were reviews.

Roger Ebert, the movie critic, got ticked off when he saw a few of his quotes misused. Studios made it sound like he was praising a movie he outright hated, but they honed in on the one positive line. It doesn't happen anymore because he put a stop to that. And so, while this stuff happens, it's not right, and I bet if Gamespy really cared enough they could make Eidos take off the quote or at least attach the proper source and review score.

And about the Big Rigs example you gave. I dont think any DVD box or video game poster or site has ever made up a score like that. They can take words but they can't make up numbers or final scores. I've never seen that before and if you have real examples of that I'd like to see it. (and that's why we're kind of attacking Eidos because it really looks like they are trying to position Kane & lynch as 5-star games)

MikeE21286

But, they're not making up a score. Nowhere - at all - on the site does it say those are reviews. Oh, and: Pluto Nash: garbage movie, but they grasped on a quote about Eddie Murphy. Or, how about this one for Alone in the Dark:

Why are you even trying to stick up for them? Are there no other threads that interest you right now and you just wanna argue something?

They are obviously using slimey rotten tactics. To argue about the "degree of sliminess" which they are using is immaterial. It's wrong regardless.

honestly i dont know y he would stick up for them aswell

and 1 thing that annoys me is when ppl say well some other company does it or media outlet does it too, last i checked 2 wrongs dont make a right, just cause hollywood does it doesnt mean its ok.

obviously it was very misleading, u can use the quotes but assigning stars? since when does a preview have stars, very misleading to say the least and i dunno y anyone would defend them.

[QUOTE="muscleserge"][QUOTE="DaysAirlines"]360 plateaued? One 1up Yours they quoted reports that MS needed to ship more and more units because they were getting hammered with demand.DaysAirlines
Well I saw a sh*tload of arcades, elites and pros, same @ target, maybe it is just in NYC.

Hmm, maybe your anecdotal evidence is more valid than the reports said.

honestly i live in nyc also, and dont really check stores that often but the only thing i see in low supply is wii's, practically nvr seen one in a store

as for 360 and ps3 they always have a couple somewhere

[QUOTE="Hoffgod"][QUOTE="jaymillsy"]

[QUOTE="Hoffgod"] Controls suck? Cut scenes are very poorly done? Are we playing the same game?jfkunrendered

Using every button on the controller does not make it fun or enjoyable.

It makes it more complicated, yes, but that allows for more versitility. Am I the only one who enjoys how you essentially have two entirely different move sets, depending on if you're trying to be stealthy or not? I think that's a great departure from the status quo and makes for a much more flexible gameplay experience.

I love the controls. But it doesn't even use the bumpers or the d-pad. I mean, you can use the bumpers if you want, but that view screws me up. Also, the cutscenes are cool because you are able to move at certain points. It all comes back to how immersed you feel when playing that game.

u do use the dpad to choose your weapons

thought this game was ok, i would give it an 8.0 tho

story was interesting and some of the assassination were fun but like mentioned earlier the way u gather info for assassinations was really repetative and boring, tiresome at points

combat wasnt as bad as most ppl say it is, yea u can counter practically all attacks but y would u want to, when u can perform a whole bunch of other moves: defense breaks, combo attacks, throw knives, i loved using the small blade and side stepping from attackers all the time comboing into something
