They are a very hard working Developer. THey were able to create a Sequel to one of their games (resistence) in jsut about a years time of the originals release. THere realeses have also been some of the best of the best this gen. black_awpN1

i hate to break it to u but resistance 2 isnt out yet, considering the first was a launch title it came out in november of 2006, and since resistance 2 still doesnt have a release date i dont know what your'e talking about. It will prob come out towards the end of the year which will be 2 years of development time, pretty standard for a sequal.

no if u actually read his post correctly he wrote the ds sold almost as much in 1 month (december) as the ps3 did the entire year (2007)

theres your valid point, we all know the ds outsold everything all year but hes comparing 1 month to 1 year? do u understand now?

Puckhog04

I didn't originally see the december comment that he made so i don't know if he edited it in or what but i missed it. But it's a bad comparison as i said before. Handhelds are bought much more regularly than any Console. Also keep in mind that you're comparing a $600 console (for over 3/4 of the year) to a $100-$150 Handheld. Once again, it's a terrible argument.

i know u are comparing a 600 dollar console to a 130 dollar handheld but keep in mind u are also comparing 1 year to 1 month so in essence thats what hes trying to show. im not saying its the greatest argument just something to point out.

[QUOTE="Exeed_Orbit"][QUOTE="XaosII"]Wait wait, if the PS3 is so powerful, why wasn't there an MGS4 on release day?XaosII

That's just stupid, devs DO still need time to actually DEVELOP the game you know? I know the TC's point is pretty stupid, but that doesn't mean you have to play along with it.

LIES!!!

lol the way i see it he asked a stupid question, got a stupid answer, or in this case a stupid question to mock him><

i would pick sc easily

sure ssbb will probably be really enjoyable like the previous installments

altho i would get alot more replayability from sc, i could play the custom maps for hours on end when i get bored with the regular game

it will def be a blast

The DS sold almost as many in December as PS Triple sold all year.

LOL cows. U lose again111!!!

Puckhog04

The DS also sold more than the 360 and Wii all year so i fail to see your point.

You fail to see my point? My point is that PS3 sales are pathetic. Barely more in an entire year than the DS did in one month. I didn't even mention Wii or 360.

Nope, you didn't mention the 360 or Wii, I did. And what i stated was true. The DS outsold the Wii and 360 as well last year as it did the PS3 as well. If you really don't see my point then i suggest you read it more. You stated the DS outselling the PS3 all year as a bash against the PS3. Yet, the DS also outsold the Wii and 360 all year. So, by your same definition of "pathetic", the 360 and Wii's sales are pathetic as well. It's not even a valid point seeing as the DS outsold everything. And, seriously, it's a handheld. I'm not saying it's bad but it's cheaper than everything (especially considering the PS3 was $600 the majority of the year) and people (especially in Japan) buy handhelds like crazy. It's not a fair comparison.

Could be true. Then again, Epic has amassed quite the following on the 360 platform, wouldn't you agree?

Just the fact that it shares blood relation with Gears of War would have been good for at least 500k in sales by itself.

Dreams-Visions

Agreed, shooters simply sell better on the 360. Even though I think UT3 wasn't anything special it would have still sold a lot more, the question is, will it sell as well when it's released later on?

Possibly. I can't think of any 360 shooters coming out in the next 5 or 6 months really worth talking about. It could do well because of the lack of competition.

well rainbow 6 vegas 2 is coming out in the near future

i wasnt of fan of the first but it had a decent following so im sure 2 will do pretty good aswell

[QUOTE="jessie5788"]lems remember this is american sales. just like you want everyone to remember that halo sales aren't 4 million. so you say how wait its 8 million world wide. if you don't know what i mean look at the thread with halo sales at 4 million.jessie5788

Are you gonna explain what you're talking about?

...or do I have to remind you why Sony fanboys should never ever used VGchartz ever again? ;)

what does vg chartz have do about this. any way. theres a thread saying halo sold 4 million. lems rushed over there and said those aren't ww sales. the point is lems make sure too see reality when it comes to 360 and its games. the reality is this is only american sales. we know that the ps3 sold more in japan in eu we don't know. no one knows Europe's sales. so the the ps3 could of sold more or was very close behind the 360.

the difference is the thread was talking bout halo sales, so u consider worldwide

this thread is discussing npd, so its talking bout US sales, ffs stop trying to twist it, in the US halo sold 4.82 mil so its not to much to assume worldwide its somewhere close to 7+

Maybe you should do your research before you go out and bash some of what is being said?

First off BluRay and 'that chip', are built for each other. BluRay encodes media in H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video streams, which is an uncompressed video format that allows for true high definition gaming - 1080p. The chip essentially is unable to deal with compressed information, however thanks to BluRay it doesn't have it, and is able to output a visual format that is unable on all other consoles.

elbow2k

u have just as little understanding as him

BluRay doesnt encode anything, bluray is a format for storing data not a damn codec

as for tc, all fanboys and companies have their own popaganda so i dont see your point either

everyone keeps saying smaller discs, i dunno what that has to do with it?

i was under the impression its cause their games were smaller, i think gc games didnt exceed 1.5 gig?

i mean i thought its common sense the smaller the game the less data u need to read off the disc and in essence load ...
