@s1taz4a3l: you were fooled. Skylake works fine with Win7. that annoying popup that says to update to win10, saying you get no more updates with this new CPU... yeah, we got around that. Windows Update works fine now.
they can't help but add cosmetic skins for cash though... because our $60 isn't enough to pay for second and third vacation homes for EA executives... they don't have the balls to come out and charge more than $60. instead, they dismantle the game industry with non-gameplay business transactions... EA will never stop fleecing. its the corporate way. they care more about the shareholders than they do the players. the shareholders are the real customers, and we players are the product.
"games as a service" is code for one of two things..
1. come buy our barbie outfits and reskins or... come buy loot boxes with a chance to get rare barbie outfits.. (most games on pc and mobile these days...)
2. come spend money to win. when you've bought the current meta, we'll change it so you'lll have to buy the next one to stay competitive.. (Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, and many games to follow suit)
both are disgusting and need to gtfo of the industry because it is cannibalizing game sales. people are buying currency for virtual outfits, instead of buying more games..
what they really mean is "consoles can't even run 2k 60fps standard yet, not to mention 4k... really, they can't even run 1080p60fps.. and they don't even have modern SSD's... consoles are toasters! so why bother"
imo, as long as consoles are just budget PC's in terms of hardware, they are THE THE THE bottleneck for "next gen". to be next gen, they'd need $1000 hardware to drop in price to fit that $300-400 price point that is console peasantry. :) that takes years.. even though the "technology" is already been here. and has been for years.
might as well get into pc gaming anyway, since only Sony has any worthy exclusive games, but not worth the buy in. pc has more exclusives than all platforms combined, in history.
don't forget, skyrim load screen on console are absolutely awful, and on pc they do not exist because of ssd. and today's consoles still have the same hard drive speeds as long before Skyrim came along, and that's just the potato vanilla version of Skyrim, so why would Bethesda bother with another Elder Scrolls any time soon?
