When a next Gen console comes out, I'm usually ready for it, I do find that I am an "Average" Consumer. I save for many...many...many...months before release so I can get the one I choose.
I'm not afraid to say, Everyone was right, and I was wrong. The simple fact is, the online only really pisses me off right now... I was one of the people going, eh? It wont bother me. It doesn't if it's working.
In time I am sure they will get it right, and I do actually enjoy being able to jump in my friends game and say whats up and kill a few demons with buddies. However it's been so off and on that it's just a huge pain.
Not that I'm going to stop playing it though.... lol
Although I do think Notch should stick a sock in it I agree that Twitter, and other social media sites, are in fact News. A lot of news comes there, even devs post there... Cliff Bleszinski is just one example. I kept up with all of the Gears 3 stuff following his Twitter.
I dont think this has in anyway stalled... They have a new story, tons of new ideas implemented into the game... I don't see stalled progress here, only new things mixed with what we expect from this genre of rpg...
@nik0la2 I don't think this is true... A lot of things they have done are huge risks, and even deal breakers for some...
Innovative not really, risky yes.
Auction house - Risky (Lost people from that)
Online only - Risky (Lost people from that)
The skill system isn't exactly common for most rpg games. The runes, the 6 at a time (Exceptions are MMO's obviously) The game is innovation in its own way. And somewhat Risky.
You just look at risk the wrong way, The things they have put their foot down for have lost a lot of business already.
