[QUOTE="CoD-Prophecy"][QUOTE="Fightingfan"] [QUOTE="Fightingfan"]One Man Army + Danger close = Just noob tube. One Man Army + Claymore = Lay claymore. One Man Army + C4 = lay C4 by claymore to make a eber pwnage claymore. Then just camp, use 7, 11, 25. You can also use a 4th class with hardline but which to hardline pro as soon as you get a 6 kill streak. *Ground warFightingfanI totally agree with this if you don't plan on ever getting good at CoD. Are you kidding? If done right that's guaranteed a nuke in half the maps. And getting a nuke using n00b tubes or camping in the way you described isn't skill. BTW, that strategy wont work at all in Black Ops, you planning on just sticking with MW2 when BO releases cause you can't aim your gun? In BO you can't refill your n00b tube, equipment with scavanger, you can't OMA since it's out of the game, No jugg or SP. N00bs will fail at BO badly...Also in BO killstreaks don't stack so you can't get a lucky 4 KS then camp your way to 11(the highest killstreak).

I thought the beta was just available to all plus subscribers? I didn't know they were limiting to 5000 people, that sucks. Means that it'll be a bunch of kids dling the beta and they wont provide any input to the dev as to what needs to be changed.

[QUOTE="millerlight89"]There is no such thing as a console graphics king. Sorry to burst your bubble. NielsNL
This discussion is getting ridiculous if you ask me. What the hell is wrong with calling the best looking game on consoles the console graphics king? That has been done on SW for ages! We all know friggin' pc games look better. Do hermits really need confirmation of this by not 'allowing' the term console graphics king to be used? Sorry, but that is just sad. And then even the mods feel the need to partake inthis discussion about semantics which is pointless to begin with, explaining what we are allowed to call the best looking console game and what we aren't allowed to call it! Really Gamespot? Is that what this forum is getting to?It's somewhere inbetween totalitarian regime and kindergarten if you ask me.
Guess we can all call it 'best looking game on consoles', because that is much easier than 'console graphics king'.

Here's a hint as to what happened. Console graphics king was an acceptible term when Gears was the best looking game. Once Uncharted and Killzone 2 came out it was suddenly impossible to use that term. The lemming say that console graphics king doesnt exist but funny thing, I can still play Uncharted 2 so They MUST exist.Honestly about an hours after getting the phone I was spammed with phone calls every 30 seconds and traded the game in. Way to take away the freedom that's supposed to be offered in an open world game and basically force players into stupid mini missions that had no bearing on anything at all. The game simply sucked and didn't even deserve an 8.0, let alone a 10.
If I'm not mistaken they don't mind if you share DLC But it's against the TOU to share any of the actual games. You get 5 downloads of the software in case, for whatever reason, you need to re-download it. maybe you got a new, bigger HDD. Maybe you're PS3 was stolen and you got a new 1. If you shared the content 5 times already you're SOL if anything ever goes wrong.
[QUOTE="FIipMode"][QUOTE="ImprovedMind"] By not buying Xbox Live, you would get one new game over the course of two entire years. If you can't drop $60 in a heartbeat for an amazing new game, than gaming is not a good hobby for you.ImprovedMindFor most it's not even about affording, some people just don't like to pay on principle, why be forced to pay to play your games online when everyone else offers it for free. Why be forced to sit through numerous downtimes and system breaking updates when I could simply pay $3-$4 per month to get superior service to the competition?XBL has had more downtime then PSN has...get your facts straight.
Also MS has more system breaking updates then PSN does. They even went as far as to try to hide the RROD as an E74 error.
I say for most people without XBL, it's pure principle. It's the same concept as buying a computer, paying your ISP for the internet, then paying some other person for the ability to use both together. It's complete garbage and I will not stand for it.
[QUOTE="Velocitas8"][QUOTE="ImprovedMind"]While it depends on the game, most games do in fact have a much lower latency/ping on XBL than their counterpart on PSN. This has nothing to do however with the individual systems, but the number of players on each. It is a fact that all the popular games have a much much bigger number of players on the 360 than PS3. That is a fact, don't try to dispute it. With a greater number of players online, the chances of connecting to someone with a good connection that is in a close proximity to you are much greater thus statistically you will connect to more games with a lower ping on the 360 than you would on the PS3.ImprovedMind
Flawed fanboy reasoning. Having 20 matches in close proximity to you is the same as having 50. You are only playing one game at a time.
Both platforms suffer from people only playing a select few online games anyway. The rest are ignored or forgotten.
How is it fanboy reasoning? You are the one who is using fanboy reasoning. Say there are 20 matches going on in North America on PSN and 50 on Xbox Live. You don't know where they are being played or the quality of the host connection. If you look at this from a logical and statistical standpoint, with more people playing the game, there are greater chances of someone being close to you with a suitable connection to host the game. This is a simple concept. As far as online games dying, this mostly seems to happen on the PS3. Just look at "teh Halo Killer" Killzone 2 and all 1000-2000 people online right now. What about Resistance 2? That is right, about the same as Killzone 2. On the other hand, games like Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 still have a solid userbase of around 30,000 - 50,000 online at a time which is more than enough for the system to find you a good match. There are still 30,000 people online playing CoD4 for the 360 and I have friends who tell me that it is very tough to find a good match on the PS3 for the same game. So, about that fanboy reasoning...But then we have to factor in that the difference in players is usually made up by a bunch of screaming 5 year olds. Not to mention XBL games tend to be hacked WAY worse then PSN games. MW2 for instance. XBL has super speed rooms, infinite ammo rooms, way more glitchers, etc. I've NEVER seen crap like that on PSN, sure you get the odd map glitcher here and there but never one person with infinite n00b tubes blasting all game without even needing to reload.LAtency/lag is motsly based on your own connection and proximity to the other players in the game, as has been said already. But I also think that the developers net code plays a role in how well the game plays as well. Killzone 2 had the same server setup as COD(no dedicated servers but just servers to grab game statistics) and any lag was FAR less noticeable. Not to mention Killzone 2 looked about 100x better.
[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"]when they do, you quote the 11% failure rate of the ps3 in that same article...far more then Sony's claims of below 1%.Sony claimed below 1% in the first year. It's a well known FACT that electronic break with age. So it only makes sense(to MOST of us) that failure rates would increase over time.As soon as I saw "54% failure rate" i said to myself: "God, will people stop quoting Spetember 2009 issue of GI"...seriously though

[QUOTE="georgia_bulll"][QUOTE="ferret-gamer"]This will not end well. Crysis crushes your bullshot with ease.ferret-gamer
of course this is referring to consoles, a PC game would have nothing to do with this in that regard
When exactly was this thread specified to consoles? It wouldn't matter anyways, all the hermits would be in here screamind crysis either way. The rest of the people would be saying there's no such thing as console graphics king with a few people saying uncharted 2 is still nicer.
