I have had issues now with 2 games using my GTX 460, Desus Ex and Diablo 3, the FPS is over 60 but it still runs choppy at some times, both games were unplayable without Vsync turned on. Black Ops and other games such as saints row 3, mass effect 2, however runs fine with or without vsync no lag,

My Rig

Intel i7 920 with Corsair H50

Intel Gaming motherboard ( cant remember model off hand)

6GB Kingston HyperX

2X 1TB WD Black HDD

EVGA GTX 460

would this make a good montior for pc? i am not really into 3D that much but the picture on it looks good, and its on for 299 plus 25$ for each game traded towards it. Would it make a good display for both 3D and non 3D games/movies on my pc?

edit: will be used mostly for non 3D gaming.

i would say hold out because yes the I5 is better but in my oppinion it's not worth the cost of the motherboard and the cpu right now so just wait a year and see what the next range of ivy bridge brings.

I pressume you're building this for gameing as well and cpus factor into gameing but not near as much as a gpu and that is alos another reason i wouldn't upgrade because you allready have a decent one.

[QUOTE="C_Rule"]Exactly what RAM do you have? I wouldn't recommend either. If you want to get a new motherboard, make it worth it and jump on a new Intel platform.

i dont have the specs on me right now, but its very low end, ddr2. no real brand name. Not really interested in going Intel.
