Movie: Rocky, 1976

Type: Drama/Sports

Starring: Sylvester Stallone

Rocky Balboa (Stallone) is having a rough time with his two jobs, a club boxer, and loan shark, to make matters worse Rocky is kicked out of the gym after being there over five years training to be a professional boxer.  Meanwhile heavyweight champion Apollo is getting ready for the championship in Philadelphia in honor of the United States on it's 200th birthday.  Apollo is imformed that there is no one available for a the fight, Apollo decides to give a local Philadelphia underdog a chance to become the heavyweight champion.  By a stroke of luck, Rocky is the one Apollo picks for the fight.  Rocky quickly gets back in to training hoping to show the world that he can go from a bum to a star.  This was a very great movie, the plot is excellent, there's great acting and very memorable scenes in this movie.  Plus this movie also won an Oscar for best picture, this is a classic film.

I give Rocky: 4 stars

xdude85's Movie Review #7: The Fugitive

Movie: The Fugitive, 1993

Type: Action/Drama

Starring: Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones

Dr. Richard Kimble (Ford) is convicted of killing his own wife Helen, Richard says he's innocent and that the real killer was a one armed man that came into his house and brutally murdered his wife, and that he fought with him for several minutes before running from the scene of the crime.  Despite his statement, the police find no evidence of the one armed man at all, and Richard is convicted and goes to jail.  Richard is getting ready to transfer to the prison by bus along with other convicts as well.  On the ride to the prison, the convicts attempt an a escape, all the comotion causes the bus spin out of control and crashes and lands on train tracks.  Richard manages to escape the wreacked bus before a train hits it head on, causing a big explosion and a huge wreak.  The police relize Richard is still alive and is on the run, they call in U.S. Marshal Sam Gerard (Jones) and his team to track down Richard.  Little do they know that Richard is after someone as well, the real man who killed his wife.  This is without a doubt one of the greatest movies ever made, I love this movie so much.  Tommy Lee Jones was so good I can see why he won an Oscar for this, this movie has great acting, great action, if fact everything about it is great, don't miss it.

I give The Fugitive: 4 stars

xdude85's Movie Review #6: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Movie: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, 2003

Type: Sci-Fi/Action

Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger

It is now 2003, 10 years have passed since John Conner, his mother and the terminator destroyed the company that would make the super computer that would become self-aware, and start a nuclear war in order to wipe out the human race.  John Conner tries to put the past behind him, revlieved that he helped prevent Judgement Day.  But for John Conner it's not even close to the end, as the machines send once again send another terminator, this one with weapons built in it, and has the power to control other machines, and is more faster, and stronger.  This terminator's mission, to kill John Conner, and his commanding officers, the human resistance leaders during the war between man and machine in the distance future.  In the future, the humans are aware that John Conner is targeted for termination again, in response they send back in time re-programed terminator, (Schwarzenegger) programed to protect John Conner and his would be officers by all costs.  The good terminator imforms John that he did not prevent Judgement Day, only delaying it.  The terminator reveals that the super computer was built and will begin the nuclear attack in 3 hours.  John Conner and the terminator must now race against time with an evil terminator right behind them and preventing the end of the world.  This was a great movie, there was great acting, superb speacial effects, but the 2nd one was the best out of all three if you ask me, this is a great movie, not to mention The Terminator Trilogy itself.

I give Terminator 3: 3 stars

xdude85's Movie Review #5: Above the Law

Movie: Above the Law, 1988

Type: Action/Drama

Starring: Steven Seagal

Chicago cop Nico Toscani (Seagal) does a regular drug bust in Chicago, but he hears the suspects have been released, Nico realizes something is up.  Nico's superiour tells him to back off and deal with the fact the drug lords have been realeased, but Nico refuses and follows them where ever go hoping to find the truth of what's going on.  Nico is caught for desobeying orders and is kicked off the force, but that doesn't stop Nico as he hunts down the druglords as a one man army.  The drug dealers become aware of Nico's presence, and decide to attack him by first killing his family and later Nico himself.  Nico and his family escape from being killed, Nico digs deeper into what the druglords are up to, and finds a shocking link to the drug dealers and ex-C.I.A. agents.  This movie was ok, but it lacked diologue, and acting.  There's great action, but a confusing plot and barely anytime for the viewer to figure out what's going hurts this move hard.

I give Above the Law, 2 stars

xdude85's Movie Review #4: The Hunted

Movie- The Hunted, 2003

Type- Action/Suspense/Drama

Starring- Tommy Lee Jones, and Benicio Del Toro

A former military assassin named Aaron Hallam (Toro) is haunted by his past memories of Kosovo back in 1999, where him and and other special forces combot men tried to put in end to the civil war that broke out of the former Soviet Union republic Yugoslavia.  The experience has driven him to insanity and begins to use his assassin ablities to hunt down innocent people in the forest areas of Portland, Oregon.  The F.B.I. knows that this is no ordinary killer, their last hope is the man who trained Aaron in the begining, L.T. Bonham (Jones) who knows how to track and hunt down a killer like Aaron.  Overall this movie was ok, but it lacked dialogue, and lacked a background story for Benico Del Toro character in other words they never told you why his character kills people.  This is a average movie, it's good in some places, but weak in other places.

I give The Hunted, 2.5 stars
