@mjorh:

Been busy with school and trying to cope with personal problems. I still frequent GameSpot, but I'm mostly lurking now. This thread is really the only one I ever feel like posting in compared to other the threads that flood System Wars. Arguing with people online on whether a video game is good or not is one of the least fun things I can imagine. I'd rather just chill and talk about how fun games are rather than complain about them.

Champ's angry outbursts always bring joy to System Wars in a weird way.

I remember in my junior high and early high school days I was obsessed with Pink Floyd. I always had my copies of Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall in my backpack along with my CD player and was listening to them constantly at school.

I still like Pink Floyd, but not as much as I used to. As I got older, I branched out and tried out different stuff.

For awhile I've been obsessed 90's alternative rock, but in the last few years I've been trying to find some new stuff that rocks out just as much, but so far no luck.

I don't know, most modern bands these days just don't it for me, all the good stuff seems to be in the past.

The focus on "safe spaces", college riots, and trigger warnings is silly. Those things are in a very, very, very small minority of universities. Anyone whose opinion on high education is lowered because of that is rightfully so a moron.

This. I've been attending Ohio State; one of the largest public universities in the country, for two years now, and all this talk of safe spaces and trigger warnings is hardly ever brought up or even mentioned among the professors and classmates that I've had.

Hell, I've seen hundreds, if not, thousands of people walk around campus wearing Cleveland Indians shirts and hats with the controversial Chief Wahoo logo on them, and I have yet to see anyone be stopped and berated for wearing such clothing.

The honest to god truth is that most of us are focused on getting shit done and trying to pass our classes. The incidents that you hear about come from an extremely small minority that don't speak for everyone that attends that certain college.

There needs to be some new additions to the terms of use and code of conduct that bars users from posting alternative pizza topping topics.

Not really a fan of Nolan.

The only film he made that I thought was amazing was Interstellar.

I've found most of his films to be mediocre, with a few decent ones in the mix. But hey, that's just me.

Looking through all these indie games I have my Steam wishlist is now making me wonder how many of them actually take a considerable amount of time to beat.

Many of them are starting to look like "one-and-done" types that can be beaten in a day and you wind up never playing them again.

I say this after playing through Oxenfree, great premise and setting, but way too fucking short.

Not so sure if I want to get Night in the Woods anymore, unless anyone here who's played it can vouch for all the praise it's gotten.
