Is this normal? Since when i play games like crysis on DX10 i can pull high/very high on 1680X1050 and it is playable, on DX9 i can put the 'ultra high' mod and it is very playable. BUT on 3Dmark06 I get about 13k 3dmark score , that doesnt seem normal to me. ive heard people hitting 18k with it.

Do you have any solutions for this? or if i did something wrong"? or if i unchecked/need to check a setting?
and yes, crossfire IS enabled.

[QUOTE="xid32"]Agreed, i have two 4850s and i score 13k..... =/swehunt

Something sounds wrong with that score.

richards what's the beef with 3DMark?

No beef, I just think it's pointless. Who cares how many points you score, as long as you can play everything how you want. Plus with how Nvidia and ATI both tweak drivers just to get a better "score" it's just pointless if you ask me.

Yeah, but if you compare two system with the same spec and one is getting a much lower score somthing is wrong.

What do you reccomend i do to fix this? because it actually detects my second GPU, but im scoring 13k. hmmm im using Vista BTW

[QUOTE="shakmaster13"][QUOTE="Spybot_9"]

[QUOTE="shakmaster13"]phenoms actually offer more bang for buck than teh entire intel lineup EXCEPT for the E8000 series. if you can get an intel mobo and an E8400 for about $170, you're gonna be good to goSpybot_9

WHAT?:|

The Q6600 offers best bang for buck of any quad core right now.The cheaper phenoms are crap for games that dont support 4 cores which is pretty much most.The cheaper phenoms are only good for a multi-tasking non-gaming PC.

Heck an overclocked $70 E2xxx CPU will beat most phenoms out there.:lol:

now i know you are an intel fanboy. you have been added to my enemies list lol. intel has to die, or become very weak, for there to be true competition and not a monopoly in the pc hardware sector. and last i checked even a phenom 9550 came very close to a q6600 performance, with the 9850 beating it at a lower price. q6600 is a waste of money. a $170 e8400 will outperform most cpus out there

Ok:roll: and BTW there isnt a single AMD CPU in existence be it stock or overclcoked that beats an overclocked Q6600.

AMD released a 16core CPU, (Yes! a 16core!) and intel released an 8core.
The 8core performed better than amd's 16 cores. The only reason amd is still alive is because of ATI that keeps pulling them out of the hole.

Hey, currently im running two HD4850s in crossfire. my specs are:

Q6600 G0 OC'd to 3.01 GHZ
4 gigs of DDR2 Ram
vista 32 bit
500 gig hard drive

and of course, the two HD4850s.

Will i need to replace the 4850s with the 4870x2 later? or just take one out and do a kind of hybrid crossfire with a 4870X2 and a 4850? will i get more performance or less? will there be a bottleneck in my system? will the fanfix work the the 4870X2?

please try to answer them all, since the 4870X2 looks like a true beast.

thanks.
