[QUOTE="xid32"]I turned off crossfire and i can pull high/very high with next to no lag.

Try these:

Overclock to your processer to ATLEAST 2.9 or 3.1 i reccomend, it is VERY cpu dependant.
use ATI overdrive to overclock your memory and core speeds and use the fanfix to keep the temps down.
defrag hard drive
exit all background programs
delete crap you dont need off your hard drive.

try those. and, whats your motherboard? is it Pci express? pci express 2.0?
It also totally depends on how many pins you have in your motherboard, is it a 16pin connector?primateface

overclocking=bad

...whats wrong with overclocking? get the decent coolers and youll be fine..

[QUOTE="Lehman"]

one or two??
one maybe a year

two
probs year and half, maybe two

wait, 1440x900, probs a bi more than, for me its 1680x1050

Goodfella_no4

Huh?

8800 is a great card, youll be good for ATLEAST another year, my estimate is 2. people fail to realize is the 8800 is a great card!
But 1440X900 is a good resolution, but you can also pull 1680X1050 on a 8800 for a good while.

I am just curious, has a drive by ever happened on your neighborhood? Right now one just happened, I though the shots were aimed at my cousin's house again but it seems not. So has it ever happened, or do you guys live in clean peaceful places?

Im not trying to get modded or anything, but your sig, the two 'devils horns' is also a gang sign for the Mara Salvatrucha, or the "MS13". They use that picture alot, they tattoo that SAME picture on their back.

[QUOTE="xid32"]IMO yes it is, and 8800 is not old, its still a GREAT cardwebstaxero

It's almost a year old!

Anyways, how much are the 8800GTs? You can buy 9800GX2s for under $300 these days, it might actually be cheaper to go with that.

]

So? the 8800 is still an excellent card, the 8600 may be outdated ,ill give you that, but the 8800 is a great card, period.
And before you think im some Nvidia fanboy, im using ATI cards in my rig.

Every damn optical/laser mouse i have ever owned they start to spin on you...while playing fast action fps games, even after cleaning them....ballmouse for the win...yea you gotta clean it every once in awhile but if you use a plastic mouse pad you wont have to clean it as much as using a cloth pad.

ballmice are alot more reliable.

primateface

Yeah that happens with the cheap generic mice
