Hey guys, i just ordered my new rig and im looking to overclock the processer.

Here are the specs

Q6600 Quad core @ 2.4Ghz

4gbs DDR2 RAM

ATI Visiontek HD4850 in crossfire (512mb each)

the motherboard is the Intel X48 Mobo

-----> http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=29382&vpn=BOXDX48BT2&manufacture=Intel

the motherboard im talking about ^^^

The reason i want to overclock is that the q6600 @ 2.4 GHZ might bottleneck my two GPUs. I am on stock cooling, the defualt that comes with the processer and I am aiming to go for atleast 3.0GHZ, can you guys give me a very detailed tutorial or a link to one? for when my PC arrives i want to know how to do this.

Thanks

[QUOTE="xid32"]

youll be able to pull it off with 650W with a single card i believe

but if you want two cards youd better go with 750-850W

albi321

uhh, no. According to newegg you need a 550w psu to power two 4850s and you need 2 six pin connectors.

oh right my bad..i was thinking of something else then
