Well, I am writing to complain about the lack of a decent story in PC games today. If they do attempt to have a story at all, it is usually disjointed and very hard to follow lacking in charactor development.

I personally would love to see more games like Full Throttle, Grim Fandago, The Masqurade : Bloodlines, Blade Runner, Deus Ex, Neverwinter Nights and Undying and other like these.

How do you feel about story lines these days?? Have I missed some great games that have gret stories?

What Games had the best story lines to you????

Forget the graphics for a moment, and lets get back to telling a compelling tale we can all become a part of. After all , Isn't that what these games are about? To let us step into another world or time and become someone else, live there life and maybe their death?? What was the last game you lost yourself in? The one where you really felt vested in the charactors?

I thought I would chime in on this one.

1.My Friend and I are both Doctors in our 30's. I am Happily married, I have 2 wonderful Children whom I adore. I have never been arrested. I did have 2 fights in my teen years. (but there was no such thing as pc gaming really back then.) People have been killing each other over religion and land and politics for hundreds of years. Before that it was for food and survival.

2. These are whats known as scapegoat issues for the uneducated ( or worse the semi-educated).

They are wonderful screens for the real issues.

Loss of Family unit, social and economic inequities. Class bigotry and racism. Easy access to guns to those who should not have them. Parents whom abuse their children or worse ignore them. Drugs and alcohol abuse. Lack of a future for our youth while selling them things they never need or use. Disintegration of our scientific learning process in favor or mysticism. Loss of community. Loss of empathy. Loss of responsibility.

Maybe your teacher should tackle these issues. Only the dim-witted blame media for the worlds problems. In my age it was Ozzy Osbourne and Judas Priest.

Many years back its was the Beatles and Elvis.

Before that it was Yeatts and Frost.

Before that it was Shakespeare..

Before that it was Jesus.......

On and On and On and On.............

Anyone got studdering issues again. This game ran very well for me up till about 2 weeks back. Seems there was a download there somewhere. Now it studders like crazy, seems like a sound loading problem. Anyone else studdering now where they were not before??? Anyone know why? Or have a fix? Why do we put up with this?
