I see. But you're saying that they're flogging the concept of good looking characters that save the world to death rather than the franchise as a whole as generally everything else is recreated from scratch.
Would be nice to see a new IP from them but they mostly fund and publish games now such as Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Hitman, Dragon Quest, etc which is a nice variety,
Probably would take a while for FF7 Remake to come out, although when I said milking I was mainly talking about all the FF7 spin offs and that movie/anime they made.
@lostn: But they're hardly flogging a dead corpse since each main series are more or less completely different games (plot, gameplay, characters, etc) - they just use the same name to help with easy publicity and extra sales.
Meh, we don't know whether they cut this out to resell as DLC or not - but arguably most people would consider the base game was worth the value it asked for from looking at the mostly positive reviews.
It would be a nice world if companies sacrifice some extra revenue to make the base game have more value, but thats not how the world works unfortunately.
@7tizz: People are morons if they use this service for BC as it's poor value, what they should be doing is renting titles they've never played which is the main purpose of this service, not BC.
@GunEye: The Pro Boost mode is only for old games that have never been patched to use the hardware advantages of the PS4 Pro.
I assume before you start the game, it gives you the option to play it on vanilla mode or boost mode.
Since this is not overclocking you don't have to worry about side effects, therefore PS4 Pro supported games will not improve or decrease because this boost mode is not for those.
@salmon71: It is kinda strange but he is based on the real life William Adams - the first Caucasian Samurai. Although I doubt he was that badass in swordmanships ha.
I assume the developers probably picked a Western guy as their main protagonist to appeal to western market of gamers.
Most modern pre-built laptop or computer you buy these days comes with a graphic card these days - my company recently bought 5 Lenovo Thinkpad for our web developers and they all come with a Nvidia 960m graphic chips, 3 of them were under £600 with i7 and 16gb of RAM.
Shame, I guess Sphil Spencer budget for his gaming division is pretty low considering it's Microsoft we're talking about. That's why it's relevant information for fans to know and compare sales number between PS4 and XONE because more success means more budget to invest back into the ecosystem that benefits fans.
I know Spencer said throwing more money would not have neccesarily helped but The Last Guardian & FF15 must have cost their respective company a fortune to support for 8-10 years and it also went through multiple painful restructuring but it eventually came out and did well anyways.
