Just wondering did you actually pay any attention to the movie it is fairly easy to understand what was going on and what was happening, also you mentioned cheesy, re watch the first predator it is filled with one lines etc which are awesome. The film was fleshing out more about the Predators and what they do when not on earth hunting and some of their background and for the most part it stayed very true to the series.
For me it was that I had to guess at everything, how did they get on the planet?
They were obviously abducted because of their skills as killers, thus why they would make great prey for the predators
How long is a season? A season could not possible last years.
Seems like a season only last as long as the prey.

It was the bigger Predators ship because he destroyed it at the end.
Why in Gods name did no one take the weapons (predators mask and gun) that Noland (Laurence Fishburne) got from the predators that he killed?
Maybe because there were predators around, and at that moment was when he screwed them over, plus he had been there for years they had just arrived there, they would have no idea on how to use it.

The predators used them, much in the same way people use dogs when hunting.
