I know its a little off-topic, but do I have to play MGS1 to 3 to understand MGS4's story?

It won't go to PS3/360, if it ever comes out, it will be Wii-Only. I hope it does, my Wii seriously needs good games.

Yes, I heard about those update problems. But that's not a big problem for me, I never update anything without researching a little about the update first.

But can I play online without a un-updated console?

Man, you have 15 friends who had their Xbox broken?

Now there's absolutely no way I'm buying one

So the failure rate for the PS3 is smaller than 1%? People say the 360's failure rate is about 10% (even in the newer versions), so it's a huge diference. Well, I think I'll buy a PS3.

As for the Wii, I've always been a hardcore gamer, but I've always been a huge Nintendo fanboy. I used to support Nintendo in whatsoever they did, but seriously, I can't take it anymore with the Wii! the only interesting game comming out this year is ToS2.

RE4WiiGirl,

Lol, I'm a Nintendo fanboy thinking about buying a PS3 or 360 too XD

But I think I'll get a PS3. Don't get me wrong, I prefer the 360 (but I don't know why) but I live in Brazil. I intend to buy either a 360 or a PS3 in the US, but since I wouldn't be able to count on the warranty, I'll buy a PS3, since it seems to be a lot more reliable.

But if I were you, I'd buy a 360, afterall, MS extended the warranty to 3 years against RRoD.

Thanks a lot! You guys in the forum really helped me, in the brazilan forums, no one would.....

I just have one more question. Does the PS3 come with headset?

And the most important question of all....

.... Are you guys happy with the PS3? Serious. Cause I bought a Wii, and I am seriously dissapointed. Don't get me wrong, I like my Wii, but those casual games really, really piss me off

I have a few questions on the PS3 too, I'll just number then ;)

1. Which version should I get, the 80GB one or the 40GB?

2. Does the PS3 come with internal Wi-Fi adapter, or do I have to buy it?

3. Do I have to pay to use the PSN?

4. Does anyone know when FFXII comes out?

5. Does the PS3 come with those HD-TV cables?

[QUOTE="xxx369"]

I am seriously thinking on buying a PS3 or a Xbox 360.

But I've read a lot of complaints on the Xbox 360 hardware. Not only RRoD problems! it seems the 360 hardware is horrible, so, I would like to know if the PS3 has any of those issues, so I can choose which plataform to buy.

You're asking this in a PS3 forum and I'm sure that you asked the same question in the Xbox 360 forum. I'm going to be completely honest, as long as the PS3 works out of the box, it will continue to work so long as you treat it right. I'm sure you could say that about the Xbox 360 but it has about a 1/3 chance (based on others' estimates, not my own) of failing even with proper care. I've had my PS3 for over a year and I have never had an issue with it besides the resetting of all my custom folders on the PS3 (left all my files with their original names and no folders). When you compare that to the issues that are commom with the Xbox 360 you can make the decision for yourself.

Yes, I did ask it in the X360 forum.... they always say the new versions should not die on you, but then I look at how many people had a variety of issues with the 360. I can't risk having a broken console, since I won't be able to fix it, and I won't have warranty
