If I have the $$, it will be a day one buy for me. It's such a pretty looking game.... And Dewey is just too cute. :oops:I wish we could get the Dewey plush as a pre-order gift like those lucky people in Japan.

Developers are playing catch up. So many people didn't take the Gamecube seriously, so they didn't bother to push it's potential. What you're seeing now is developers, caught off-guard by the Wii's success, trying to cash in on the money train but not really knowing how to make a great looking game. It's no secret that the Wii is based on the Gamecube's architecture, so you'd think it would be easy. But if you can't add 1+1, how can you be expected to know how to multiply 3x4? In other words, so many game makers didn't get it right on the Gamecube, so they're not going to get it right on the Wii. At least not at first.
Even if the Wii was more powerful, it wouldn't change the fact the no one took it seriously at first. You'd still get crappy ports from publishers looking to make a quick buck, and a steep learning curve.
Any game produced by Mystique.
If you don't know what company that is, TRUST ME... You don't need or want to know. Ugh... :?
Do any of you know how to change the channel on a router? I think thatmight be my problemzepman71
You have to log into your router and set the channel. It's pretty easy, really. Just connect the router to your computer, type the router's IP address in the web browser of your choice (it's usually 192.168.0.1, but the manual that came with it will tell you), enter the username and password, and then find the setting and change it. Nintendo recommends 1 or 11 as the channel. Also, if you have a pre-N router, make sure it's set to mixed mode so that way it broadcasts in b and g.
All this talk about the holiday gaming season and yet not ONE mention of Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Are there any games coming out for either the PS3 or 360 that are as big as those two? And no, I'm not saying that just to piss people off...
In any case, I think the gaming industry is going to have an awesome holiday, it's just that some companies are going to do better than others.
Because of the nature of VIDEO games, of course graphics matter. They always will, and that's not going to change. The problem comes in when you try and put all your eggs in one basket. Graphics are just a part of a game. There's music, there's art direction, there's gameplay, there's story... All these elements mix together. The best games are balanced. This is why games like Super Paper Mario outscore Motorstorm, even though the later was technically a better looking game. And I don't need to remind you all about Lair. ;)
Fake and double fake (double fake being Shenmue 1 & 2 plus).
Sega already got their ass kicked hard enough by making Shenmue 2 an Xbox exclusive. Making Shenmue 3 Xbox 360 exclusive would be like buying a car that's been recalled by the manufacturer for exploding randomly.

Actually, Shenmue 2 was released for the Dreamcast, but only in PAL regions. And at least on Gamespot, it scored better than the Xbox version.

- "People who buy a Wii just have it because they are too poor to afford anything else."
Interestingly enough, 13 of the top 20 selling non-bundled, non-PC games are on Nintendo systems. The Pokemon Red/Green/Blue series sold over 20 million, making it #1. At #2 is SMB3 (18 mil), and #3 is Nintendogs (14.8mil).
