Stopped reading there...Metroid Prime 3 was not designed for Gamecube, however it is stated in reviews that it is 'just another GAMECUBE prime game with worse controls'.tborg0

To stay on topic, I would say that your logic doesn't work, because it's not like the Wii would just stop selling all of a sudden and the ps3 to sell 6-7 million more consoles.
48 hours till what announcement?
what on earth are you talking about?
i've been gone from these forums for too long..

Supposedly, in 2 days they're having a Nintendo Conference. Everyone's expecting a huge announcement, cause Reggie said in an interview, "before the end of September", they'll be a few new surprises.
So much for someone answering your question.Sants412
Sorry, I was in a HUGE rush. But ya, I spent 2000 Wii Point already, I got Paper Mario and Super Mario 64. I'm thinking about getting an SNES game now, which do you think I should get:
-Super Mario World
-Donkey Kong Country (I have the GBA version)
-Super Metroid (not a huge 2D Metroid fan, although I loved the Prime series)
-The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (never played it before)
NP: Judging by the demo, the game looks like it might be a little more cinematic the the first two. Is that the focus for the team?
MP: Yeah, that was very much a conscious thing that we're doing because the system's more powerful [then the Gamecube]. It allows us to create larger environments that are just as detailed as Prime and Prime 2. So we get to tell the story, not always in cinematics. We can tell it by what's going on around you. I think that's extremely important, and we're doing that to all important, and we're doing that to all the locations that the player is going to be visited throughout this game. We're really making a conscious effort to utilize the technology not to just make things look pretty, which they're going to, but actually for solid gameplay reasons. Like why can you see far into the distance?. Because it's actually important to what's happening in the game.
NP: Prime is noted for being one of the most visually impressive series on the Gamecube. What are your thoughts on Wii from a hardware horsepower standpoint?
BW: It's obviously a more powerful machine. With Prime 3 we have been able to improve all aspects of the game as a result. Visually we've got bloom lighting. We've been able to improve our animation system to take advantage of the new hardware. And the environments are also significantly bigger. Even better, it's a developer friendly machine. Power is nothing if you can't use it. And that has been a big factor for us. We've been able to create better content very quickly with the Wii.

[QUOTE="goblaa"]Ok, so with a new zelda surely on the way, what would you like to see improved, added or droped in the next zelda game? What kinda story would you like to see?
For me, he main problem right now is that it has become stale after 4 games with the nearly exact same story, combat, and design. So:
1 - Make the game less linear. Let me have some choice of what order to tackle most dungeons.
2 - Don't throw in so many useless items. I swear in TP, after the dungeon you get them in, the morningstar, slingshot, boomerang, spin disk, and magic wand are worthless and almost never used in any meaningful way.All any player should need to beat the game is a bow, bombs, a proper boomerang, and a lamp. Everything else should be hidden extras. Useful extras like...unlike the magic armor.
3- Combat feels good. Targeting was spot on in WW and TP. But now that we have the wiimote, and not a GC version of TP holding us back, go full 1:1 sword combat. Keep the rest of the combat the same. Make enemies that require certain directional swings to beat. Like en enemy with armor everywhere but their head requires head strikes. Make each enemy a puzzle I guess. And have all the sword attacks be swinging. It was weird swinging for normal attacks, but pressing A for others and swinging the nunchuck for others.
4- Change the plot design a bit. If I get another game about ganondorf, link, and zelda having triforce marks on their hands...I'm gonna be peeved.
5 - Make rupees worth something. Make shops worth going too.
6- Also, I was most impressed by WW graphics. I would love to see another cell-shaded zelda game, but just darker. Link should be an adult and if they could cell shade a game to look like the art from TP...that would be awsome.
Cell shade this!

I agree with 1 3 and 5.
2) yes i agree the items are useless (besides clawshot boomarang arrows and bombs) but what i want to see nintendo do is to give us cool items like Spinner Ball and chain Etc. But make us use them the whole game. Honestly you get the spinner in the 4th dungeon. And honestly you never use it again (besides getting like 2 heart pieces) So in Zelda games the dungeon puzzles are easy because all you have to think is Can i solve this using arrows, bombs, clawshot, boomarang or the item i just got.
Nintendo should
make you get an item in the 1st dungeon and still have to use it for the seventh dungeon. not just never use it again.
Four i agree with ophyre
6.) NO!
Agreed on #6, and I tried making a more "cartoony" Link using the Twilight Princess Link:
P.S. I know, I suck at photoshop. :(
