Nothing againest Vanhalun , but I cant stand the raiders, and its not the team so much as the 'fans' that whole raider nation crap. and every punk kid in a raiders jersey or hat 'cause they think its 'cool' makes me want to vomit.

I don't understand how you could say something like that.

If you really look at things, Brett Favre is still a very good QB. You can't blame him for losing the game against Pittsburg when they had a chance to come back but a ball goes through Donald Drivers hands and it gets intercepted. You can't blame Favre for that.

Why does everyone say he's washed up? I would like to see how Tom Brady goes without his top 4 receivers and top 2 running backs and try to get his offense motivated.

Favre's been forced to try to make plays simply for the fact that he has no talent around him this season. If he had Javon Walker, Robert Ferguson, Terrance Murphy, Ahman Green, and Najeh Davenport, probably the five most skilled players in the Packers offense, they would probably be doing a lot better than what they are.

Should they sit Favre, possibly, but I think he should at least start games and try to play Aaron Rodgers when they are down big time. I think next week will be their best opportunity to try that since they are going to Atlanta. However, Atlanta hasn't exactly been killing opponents this season so I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

I think the Packers are just trying to do what the Bengals did with Carsen Palmer. I think it's good that they don't start him right now. It's probably better that they keep working through the NFL system in practice this season and then try him next year. I don't know about the rest of you but Alex Smith is hurt and I haven't heard a whole lot about Jason Campbell this year either.

Toucanbird

even if favres the best QB ever, the teams going no where, and its looking more and more apparent he wont be playing next year, and that sit'em on the sideline to learn is a bunch of BS. you can either play, or you cant. you learn by doing. nobody learned to ride a bike by sitting around watching somebody else do it for weeks on end. you got on the bike and you rode it.

A lot of rookie QBs sit on the sidelines for their first year, look at Carson Palmer. And Favre isn't the Packers problem for losing. It's the whole teams fault. Why would the Packers bench the only person that's keeping them in games? Just to give a rookie a couple of more reps? No team plays to lose...:|

Exactly.

That and playing QB in the NFL is a lot harder than learning how to bike. I think that learning how to ride a bike is a lot easier than learning offensive packages, defensive plays, timing, and blitz reads.

"Why would the Packers bench the only person that's keeping them in games? Just to give a rookie a couple of more reps? No team plays to lose...:|"     exactly my point, these games are meaningless now, and a rookie needs reps to learn Off packages, + blitz reads, etc.   you both made my point for me.

"And Favre isn't the Packers problem for losing. It's the whole teams fault" Come on, 5 ints againest the Bengals? and if he didnt lose the Steelers game,(fumble --> TD, int --> TD) who did?

yeah , the way hes talking , 'not wanting to sit through meetings', or 'learn a new system' makes me think the guy REALLY doesnt want to go any where. Al davis would go after him , is it me or is he really obsessed with old guys? and at this point Favres mistakes equal out or negate his good play basically making him, either a none factor, or at worst a hinderance to who ever hes playing for.

In what is apparent to all, except die hard cheese-heads, the Packers season is clearly over. and keeping a fan favorite, but way past his prime QB, on the field for no purpose what-so-ever, just seems to be making less and less sense. Especially while a rookie QB languishes on the sidelines. At this point could Rodgers be any worse than Favre?   I dont think so.

[QUOTE="gmolancer89"]

the eagles dont really need him. mcnabb has still had great passing games without him. the only reason they suck is because they dont have a running game. look for him to be traded.

VanHalun040604

He won't be traded...he'll be released.  And he won't play another game in the NFL...EVER.  Sure he makes explosive, game-changing plays, but he's an inherent detriment to any team he plays for.  Nothing is ever good enough for him.  No team will pay him what he wants.  He'll NEVER get what he wants!  It's that simple.  He essentially sets out to piss his teammates off; NOBODY--be it NFL players, executives, media, or PEOPLE in general--likes or respects him!  Glad he's gone.  I watch the NFL for a reason; I DON'T LIKE SOAP OPERAS.  And he turns the entire game--no matter what team you're watching--into a gigantically ridiculous afternoon drama.  Screw you, T.O., screw you.  Go do your stupid little pom-pom, sharpie-signing, Ray Lewis-mocking touchdown dances at home while playing Madden all by your lonesome.

Sorry if that offends anyone...but he is the antonym of what a football player or even a PERSON is supposed to be.

WORST TEAMMATE IN THE HISTORY OF SPORTS!!!!

What a great title....:|

while i agree with almost everything you said ... unfortunately some team, some where, will think they need him enough or have the where-withall to keep him in line. so unless he chooses to quit, we'll be seeing TO again. and frankly the way the Eagles have mis-handled things so far. I wouldnt be that surprised to see him again this year
