@bignick217 @dmblum1799 Yeah, with emulators.. no kidding. That's not really a valid point. We won't see a PS3 emulator for at least 10 years, and that's being generous with the time.. emulators require much, much more processing power than what the initial consoles required, and the PS3 is pretty heavy on that end. We won't see computers that are even CAPABLE of current-gen emulation, as I said, for at least 10 years.Your logic is pretty flawed.
Yeah Nintendo, do a re-design of a console that died off a couple years ago, right along side your BRAND NEW, CURRENT-GEN console. If you ask me, this will just cause confusion during the holiday season and potentially hurt their Wii U sales. Am I the only one who thinks this is just a really, really dumb move?
I totally agree. It's, admittedly, a little less satisfying knowing that the game ends in the same fashion no matter what you do (pretty much any character that leaves or dies ends up gone anyway), but the idea of the game, to me, was like you said.. making difficult decisions and seeing how they affected your group. It has definitely set a new standard for interactive decision-making in video games.
@foxrock66 I'm pretty excited for new consoles, only because the hardware in today's consoles is just crap. You can get a PC that's just as capable as the X360 for very, very cheap these days.
@World_War_gamer @timmy0001 I think Halo on PC would be absolutely fantastic, but the games mechanics are designed specifically for consoles, down to basic movement and turning. If we ever see anymore Halo titles on PC, they'll be ports, and they'll be years down the line. They don't even have to make the new trilogy for PC, just release Halo 3 PC and EVERYONE will be happy.
@garysingh34 @timmy0001 Yeah, I was incredibly doubtful about H4 being worth a damn when they announced it, but watching gameplay footage, it puts off a very Halo 3 vibe, which was easily the most refined entry in the series yet.
I doubt Spartan Ops is going to be a key selling point for this game, by any means. Co-Op vs AI can be fun when you're really bored, but ultimately the only reason people played Firefight in Reach was because of Challenges that encouraged you to play it. Spartan Ops will probably be something similar.
@InFI_Chronos @Baroni88 I prefer a TrueSkill system, but it encourages cheating on a grand scale. Everyone, especially hackers, want that 50 rank. With that in mind, I'm more than fine with a 'credits' system. Ultimately I play the Halo series online because it's just fun.
