@SythisTaru You do realize that Role Playing Games are defined not only by their immersion, but their gameplay mechanics as well, right? Grand Theft Auto is immersive, doesn't make it an RPG.

@H0rizon I don't remember saying that I was speaking for anyone other than myself, actually. Like you, my main reason for playing ME3 was to see how everything played out, and in regards to that, I was actually quite satisfied. I'm in the minority who actually enjoyed the ending, someone who tried to look more into the ending on a metaphorical level, rather than taking what was shown to me with face value. A lot of people did, however, and unfortunately for them, they missed out. It really is too bad that people have to be spoon-fed every little detail, rather than coming up with theories and ideas.. so much that they'd make petitions demanding that BioWare change the ending ('Lawl.') That withstanding, they still stripped the game of almost all of its RPG elements or anything that required any sort of complex train of thought, EVERYTHING that made the first installment great. At the end of the day, the Mass Effect franchises roots are in GAMING, and the fact of the matter is, they simplified the game to sell better.. and that's never okay.

@_distemper That's my main point. ME1 was one of the best games I've ever played. And then EA seen that they really did have a blockbuster franchise on their hands, so they did everything they could to make sure it reached a wider audience, which involved stripping the series of all of its best qualities, or if nothing else, simplifying them. It ruined the entire thing for me.

@SythisTaru You're right, ratings factor into quality. To call ME2 a RPG is a complete and total joke.

Also, people are still complaining about ME3's ending? It really wasn't that bad.. if anything, it flew over everyone's heads and they simply didn't understand it. The games ending is NOT the reason you should be upset with ME3's release. You should be upset about tacked-on multiplayer and microtransactions in a game you paid full retail for. You should be upset that EA ruined a fantastic franchise by taking all of the best aspects out of the game, so that they could turn it into a boring 'press-A-to-cover' TPS to cater to the casual masses.

@Mad_Hatter18181 @Hey_Jay

You really shouldn't be attacking BioWare as much as EA. Their first few games were fantastic, and when they became popular they were suddenly releasing a game every 6 months, getting steadily worse with each release with mediocre additions, mostly involving DLC.

If you're suggesting that EA had nothing to do with BioWare's downfall, you're blind. All I'm saying is if you want to show EA to stop ruining fantastic franchises (Mass Effect, Dead Space, Battlefield, etc.), STOP BUYING THEIR GAMES. Not just BioWare, but ALL of EA's products.

@Tsuchikage It really wouldn't be. The universe for the game is massive, with proper writers they could keep the life in it for a long time running. They could easily introduce a character-creator where you make a truly individual character, and not a good/bad version of the same character. There are hundreds of thousands of potential story-arcs in this universe.. but unfortunately, I'll never support ME again, not unless EA somehow loses the publishing rights to it.. maybe it would be honest again.

@Genralbold @aryanbrar lol, Nitpicking much? He has a Halo 2 avatar, a game that came out almost 10 years ago. Someone can like Halo 2, but dislike all of the installments that followed it. But hey, that's logic at work isn't it?

All I'm saying is.. Mass Effect was such a promising franchise, and they ruined it a long time ago. Any ME title that releases from here on out will most likely be EA's decision, just so they can make some more money. Stop supporting them so that maybe they'll go back to making some quality titles again.
