@AggrandizedUser Going by the comments you're seeing in this article, people don't want or 'need' advancements in technology standards. They sound a lot like the kids who said standard definition was just fine, and HD is just a waste of money. Oh wait.
@Krauklis Yeah, admittedly I forgot about those. But, like you said, those sorts of games tend to be far less graphic-intensive than AAA titles. Either way, it's a very specific group of games.
@Kollskegg It's not necessarily so much about graphics as it is about general performance. But hey, tell yourself whatever you need to, if it helps you rationalize your underpowered hardware.
@Kollskegg First of all, I literally don't think there is a single console game that runs in native 1080p. They can be upscaled to 1080p, but that's it. If an Xbox 360 game was running at 1080p native, it would be unplayable, and that's a fact. Second, PC's have sharper graphics and overall better performance because the hardware and the technology is superior, plain and simple. There's nothing else to this.
@jonmar Most channels have an HD version as well at this point.. those that don't are generally cable networks, or simply channels that don't provide HD on certain satellite providers.
