Its annoying: Lower installed base equals lower development dollars. EA was the same way with the old XBOX. Why hasn't there been a branch of EA that looks into possible investment futures instead of collecting its established bottom lines. Unfortunately their strategy has been working for this company for well over 20 years. Artari is having to struggle while this company hums along playing its bland but effectively safe buisness. EA can still become second rate though.... then they freekin bought out Bioware. Remember how people thought of Microsoft and Bill Gates in the mid 90s (funny IMO everyone naively is loving MS nowdays). Does EA truly realize its audience is fickle and gets tired of tripe much easier than any other entertainment medium? We should all start boycotting the Madden franchise. It may be a good game, but a real gamer much rather plays something more substantial. All I ever think the Maden franchise is good for is for a frat boy that would rather spend his free time hours being enveloped in the plotline of assasins creed, instead hides his gaming bug by playing a sports influenced game, thereby achieving the social acceptance of his dimwitted frat buddies (who'd rather be playing bioshock) who think they are all "cool", and that because american football is cool because "real men like football", then if you play a video game its cool because its football and none of your (already would like to play a real videogame if they weren't peer pressured into video games are for dorks) friends have a problem.

same here when Im drunk... oh wait thats a little OT. IMO Rock band is the TRUE successor to the GH franchise. If it didn't cost so much... All I wanna play is drums and sing along... forget the guitar... its not even real guitar playing anyway.
Yeah I know about FF7, 1000, or whatever its up to now, but I absolutely can not play JRPGs without throwing up. The metro sexual male leads in the quasi SCIFI/renaissance getups are just so emo and gay

LMAO I feel the same way. Other than the PS2, still only lately has had Odins Sphere and Persona 3, Sony seems to be failing in giving a good RPG on either of their latest systems, being the PSP and PS3. I do think the JRPG has seen its saturative climax. Hopefully Sony can eventually learn from the US RPG market. The geekeiest of us know what is DnD, and the rest if us still follow suit with needing somr more in depth RPG gameplay.
If you like MP games get Warhawk and Call of Duty 4. Unreal Tournament is also coming out soon on that front only for on consoles exclusive to the PS3 right now. Resistance is also a very good MP game comparable to Halo and has a strong online following. Other than that most other worthy games are cross platform like Assasins Creed. No Bioshock or Mass effect. Drake's Uncharted Fortune is supposed to be a really good game, but I haven't played it yet so I cant vouch. Rock band on the PS3 offers the wireless guitar over other systems and all the same DL support.
It is nice that I can press that PS button and my PS3 finds it quickly. But I need to know when I got to my friends house with another PS3 and press that button how do I choose which system do I want that controller to show up on?
I still don't think the PS1 DLs are worth it yet. When MGS, Wipeout XL, FFVII+VIII, and Chrono Cross are on will I determine Sony's PSone DL srvice as comprehensive. Sheezy Nintenscmho knows to have its old games DLable on its platform... Why is Sony soooo slow on getting it classic games available. Castlevania is the only one and is ten bucks!
hopefully you're still within warranty. LCD anything has a problem with this (I had an old Spinach Green Gameboy that eventually did this quite frequently). Yes it happens, and its such a delicate part (the interface between the motherboard and the LCD screen) that a lot of jossling can compromise.
check out my user page, I give a blog on my experience installing YDL from terrasoft. Mostly I'vefound it not really worth it for two reasons: The PS3 uses Power PC (PPC) and doesn't seem wholly supported by essential programs, and Sony never included an actual bootloader to effortlessly chose which OS you like to start your system with on startup. YDL ends up feeling like a side note taking up 10 GB of space.
I had 2 sell as used my original Oblivion copy for money reasons and its only because I wanted the GOTY version. Oblivion is an awesome game already, but buying a used or cheaper version of the original will leave you wanting more anyway... so yes its worth the full price. the original will give 100 hrs of play and the expansions add 40-80 hrs more.
