I think the change was worth it even though I have a regular PS4 which is now used by another family member. BF1, Tomb Raider, Uncharted to mention a few looks gorgeous in 4k checkerboard!
@tre_selor: It does indeed, I love the pro, but that is a real setback. I thought it would be much smoother in navigation with applications running, but that is so slight an improvement over the regular ps4 that I will near well not call it that.
@RS13: I couldn't agree more. Nintendo has made some serious mistakes through the years, one would think they wanted to crawl out of the pit, but it doesn't seem like it. It's a shame really.
4 years how excactly? The original PS4 has been out almost 3 years and will have the same games, and live as long as the new improved version which you can rest assured is not replaced by a new generation next year. It changes nothing, it's merely an option. If it alters the lifespan of the generation in any way it'll be a longer one in all likelihood.
It would be nice to see some of these games show up in the ps+ monthly lists. After all it's games many a loyal PS customer have bought on an older system, and it would be a nice gesture to younger customers too. I would certainly appreciate a walk down memory lane more than some shitty game that isn't selling well or is made by some cheap indie studio.
It's about time we had a change in the boring console vs. console united vs. PC war. Now there will be a few lordlings pissing on their fellow "console peasants" in the mix too lol.
