Bummer. I was hoping they were secretly trying to I don't know, add another One/Series X|S game to compensate for the removal of two 360 titles and drive people to the new consoles.
They could've just announced instead no *new* 360 games will come to GwG and just recycle the ones they can indefinitely. I'm assuming most publishers who can would've just gone and offered some for peanuts.
Maybe this is calculated and they want to see how the subscription numbers are affected (possibly not much, but I'm not sure, it's a diverse market). Maybe this is phase one of sunsetting the service.
@zerojuice: What? When comparing to PlayStation, you compare Xbox. Not Sony vs. Microsoft. Nintendo itself is only in gaming, so is Tencent, and Embracer. So no, it's not bullshit. Microsoft is one of the biggest companies of the world. But that doesn't matter. Regarding competition, you only compare the slice of the company that is dedicated to that market. Windows, Office and Azure et al doesn't even matter in this respect. So yes, PlayStation, Steam, Nintendo, Valve and maybe even Epic is ahead of Xbox.
Moving the goalposts again? When Xbox sells less it's "lol Xbox so small", but when they state they're behind the competition that's "bullshit"? Okay.
@Barighm: I was referring to how Sony were so obvious in trying to keep the exclusivity deals going, exactly because these were set off well before Microsoft announced the intent to acquire.
Good list! I played many of these and agree with most. Weird how most of these are from around the '00s and early '10s. I'd even consider Demon's Souls a good fit, but are there any more recent ones? The newest I can think of is maybe D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, but that didn't really hit critical mass.
