z827 Blog

My PSP is getting fixed... and replaying The Witcher I

Right , I'd be saving the Gundam blog for later... for now , I'll twiddle my thumbs and await the revival of my PSP.

The O and X button is practically destroyed ( Some chip became damaged ) , the battery is dead ( Can hardly last several minutes without a power source ) and there are some other mild damages here and there.
I now feel like a gamer blessed with awesome powers to cause such damage to a PSP ( Hubris Trait Activated )

*ahem*
Anyway , I'm currently replaying The Witcher I. I've left The Witcher II be since I need to complete the other games in my stock but I'm now trying to attain my desirable Save Data in The Witcher I so I can port it to The Witcher II to change some of the story elements and bring over some of the weapons and armor of the previous game - as well as the Orens to make my life easier.

To be honest , I suck real bad at The Witcher 2 , I was pretty good in The Witcher I since it's more of a RPG but The Witcher II is more of an Action game. Fighting one foe is one thing but dodging and swinging through several foes is a pain. Not to mention they've reduced the effects of the Signs and seems to have weakened Geralt to a certain extence.
Not to mention the developers seems to enjoy having Geralt lose his Silver Sword at every start of the game.

Boy , my head hurts.

My most... me... Part IV

.... I'm too lazy to even type out the name now...

*tumbles on the ground and squirms as I struggle for the finish line*

God , with the SD Gundam inclusion and the stuff that I've missed , I'm still far from being finished.

RX-78-2 Gundam... variants

The first ever Gundam.... well , if you don't count the prototype before it.
The RX-78-2 Gundam is the base for the creation of multiple other suits in the U.C timeline though most of them aren't shown in the main plotline.
One of my few favourites are...

Knight Gundam

I'm sure you can tell - but it's an SD Gundam.
( Ooh... Shiny armor! )

... and I'm too lazy to upload the rest :o
Well , essentially , their the Musha Gundam ( Hmm... design reminds me of a particular Solar Aqarion... *cough* ) , Gundam Unit Series , Perfect Gundam III , Ryubi Gundam , Char Custom ( Appears in a spin-off I believe - once again , it's friggin' red ) and the Gundam G-3.

Eh... where was I?

God Gundam / Burning Gundam

Hmm... I think I'm forgetting something again..... AHH!! There's way too many Mobile suits to remember.
Anyways , the God Gundam was pretty awesome.
A Halo on his back , fists that burns with passion and the infamous Sekiha Tenkyoken which evolved into the Sekiha Love Love Tenkyoken which had struck many fans down with it's nerve wrecking cheesiness....
WORSHIP IT , FEAR IT and.... FLEE FROM IT!

Master Gundam

Used by Master Asia the Undefeatable!!
HOORAH!!

Nobel Gundam

This Gundam freaks me out even till this day.
I dub thy - Sailor Moon Gundam!

Grand Master Gundam

G Gundam sure have some monstrous and gigantic suits...

Devil / Dark Gundam

Hmm... Can't find a screenie with the teeth. Oh well , just note that this guy is big , powerful and pretty annoying in some Gundam games.
Oh yes , it have a lot of tentacles as well....

There are several others from G Gundam I'd like to add but... well , I hate the lack of screenies you can find on Google and there's too much for me to handle.

I'd like to include the Heaven's Sword Gundam ( Soaring Raven ) , Yamato Gundam ( Prequel ) , Feilong Gundam ( Feilong means "Flying Dragon" in Mandarin ) , Rising Gundam , King of Hearts and Gundam Spiegel ( Shadow Gundam ) .
Oh boy , my head aches... but I shall complete this... WITH THE HELP OF KYOJI!!

Next one will be dedicated to Wing Gundam ( My personal favourite Gundam series so I'm dedicating an entire blog for it =w= ) ... with a few mobile suits I have probably missed along the way.

My Most Memorable Mobile Suit... Part III

*cough* Oh boy... the end is still far away.

Elmeth

Woops a daisy , nearly slipped this one off the list.
Despite the fact that it looks like a carrier of sorts , it's actually a Mobile Armor in the first Gundam installment.
Coincidentally , there is another pilot other than Lalah Sune whom pilots this - the other pilot is Al Cuzco whom does not appear in the main series.

ZAKU II Kai

ZAKU II Kai makes it's debut in the 080 War in the Pocket series ( UC 0079 - around the first Gundam timeline )
The pilot for one of the ZAKU II Kai was Bernard Wiseman - whom had caused quite a bit of a trouble for Gundam Alex which was piloted by Christina.

Gundam Alex

Weird name , plus this Gundam doesn't feature much combat superiority since it's made in the limbo between the original Gundam age and that of the Newtype Gundam era.
However - the pilot is exceptional - though it's curious how a ZAKU II Kai can keep up with her.
Oh , as a side note , it can equip an heavy plating of armor around it.
As a footnote - this isn't a remarkable Gundam in the Gundam games though you might want to use it for the "old wars" or something along those lines.

Hambrabi

Bawoo

Right , next up is some ZZ spam!!

ZZ Series

Whilst the ZZ Gundam is notoriously bulky - it's also a walking cannon.
Rockets , missles , beam rifle... you name it.
This is , by the way , the FAZZ ( Full Armored ZZ ) which is NOT seen in the main series - but it's my favourite ZZ unit.
It's pretty awesome in the games though.
( PS : Roux Louka FTW! She's one of my favourite Gundam heroines BTW. )

R-Jajra

Geymalk

For some reason , this suit reminds me of a queen bee.

Hamma Hamma

On the other hand , this kinda reminds me of a wolf :X
I don't know why but... no matter.
Either way , this is the most memorable suit under the service of Cello as compared to his other suits.

Mega Rider

Whilst not a Mobile Suit , I HAVE to add it.
It acts like a motorbike which can carry up to two Mobile Suits and unlike a motorbike , it have a thruster and it suspends over the ground as it acts without wheels.
Not to mention , a particle cannon is implanted at the front of the Rider.
HOW AWESOME IS THAT!?
( Coincidentally , if you combine the FAZZ and the Mega Rider in Assault Survive... fufufufu.. )

Contio

Right , we're at... Victory Gundam now.
You must admit Asher pilots some pretty weird-looking suits and most of them look like... I don't know , bugs?

Gengaozo

Zoloat

Gedlav ( Equipped with Einerad )

A pretty unique suit which utilises the Einerad ( The large wheel ) for combat purposes.
The tire spins independantly from the central part of the wheel - not to mention it have weapons implanted ontop of the wheel and a shield on the sides.

The Zanneck is capable of riding the Zanneck Base ( A giant... UFO-like thing ) which offers high maneuvaribility in combat since it moves EXACTLY like an UFO.
Left... right... centre... up... down... all around.
If you battled against this suit in the Gundam games , you'd know how annoying Fuala Griffon ( The pilot ) can be.

Zanspine

Another suit that doesn't appear in the main series... ( Why are all the awesome suits either Gun-Pla , appearing in side stories or in games? :X )

V Gundam Series

The Victory Gundam series.
The V Gundam is subjected to many upgrades and attachments - particularly the V2 Gundam which have a Buster , Assault and Assault Buster form.
Coincidentally , this is the V2 Assault Buster Gundam. ( Is similar to the Buster but with gold trimmings and bears some elements from the Assault attachment )
( Still... a 13 years old pilot getting himself in some pretty sweet yet dangerous situations... Hmm... )

Gaia Gear Alpha

From the not so well known Gaia Gear. ( It's not even dubbed Gundam )
This is the Gaia Gear Alpha which is utilised by a clone of Aznable Char in... U.C 203 I believe.
Any clone of Char should be GAR , that is law.

G Saviour Origin ( Space Mode )

The G-Saviour ( For some reason Gundam isn't in it's name ) which appears in the Live Movie - G-Saviour.
The CG graphics of that movie was pretty awesome though a Gundam Live movie? I'm not so sure about that.

I-SAVIOUR Illusion

First thoughts when this name reaches my ears were "IPhone"
XD
Anyways , this is a pretty awesome suit since spikes were rarely used in the design concept of Gundam suits.
Also , as you can see , the legs are considerable thinner and structured in a different way compared to typical Gundam units and so is the mid-segment of this Gundam.
It's an oddity - that's for certain.

Bugu

The Bugu is a massive produced unit in G-Saviour.
It can be equipped with a skirt-like jet booster - though all in all a mobile suit wearing a "skirt" was pretty interesting XD

MS-Rai

Is it just me or does G-Saviour have some pretty odd mass produced units?
This one kinda creeps me out either way - looks like something from an alien colony which got infested with monsters from Dead Space or something.

Right... that's it for now.
Again , I'll throw in anything I've missed in the next blog and try to finish it up by the next two or three blogs...
Then again , I intend to throw in some SD Gundam as well.... OH NOES!

My Most Memorable Mobile Suits... Part II

HOORAH! PART II!

Gundam Mk II

I've actually rather liked the color scheme and general design of the Mk II - both of them actually.
But if we're talking about games.... I still do kinda enjoy using them - their fairly impressive units which is capable in both melee and ranged combat , though the issue is that it's not quite up to par to more well developed suits.
Still , I wonder why are there so many Mk IIs in the U.C era?

Big Zam

It's a Mobile Armor - but I have already listed some MAs in the previous blog so no matter.
Still - this MA was pretty odd. Walking on two legs with an oversized carriage attached on the head which is equipped with a vast arsenal of lethal firepower.
I guess one shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.

Ball

This isn't a Mobile Suit nor is it a Mobile Armor - it's a friggin' support pod which is like soccer-ball size as compared to the other Mobile Suits.
How ridiculous it appears is one thing , how weak it is is another fact.
Still - I guess the pilot makes the weapon and not the other way round.

Gundam Physalis

Piloted by a certain man named Anavel Gato.
Whilst this suit's ranged capabilities aren't all too astounding - it have a friggin' bazooka which can - coincidentally - be loaded with a single shot nuke.
A nuke which can nearly wipe out an army....
Oh yeah , it's shield was exceptionally large as well.

Gundam Dendrobium Stamen

Did I spell it right? :X
Stardust sure have some complex names for their units.
Anyway , it's attachment to the Orchis was pretty awesome as well....

Gelgoog Series

I've rather like the Gelgoog suits - owing to their vast aresenal in weaponaries and their pretty effecient in video games as well.
Depending on the Gelgoog - it may hold a sabre or various assortment of unique weapons and generally , it was a pretty neat suit.

Dom Series

A Dom - infesting various combat scenarios with their various customized form.
I admit , I'm rather fond of the design as a whole.
The gigantic alleviated feet and the fairly bulky look to it... Though I definitely didn't enjoy using it in my Gundam games XD

Xamel

The Xamel was a fairly unique unit - not only in terms of design but it's also one of the few suits which is capable of artillery based assaults.
BOMBS AWAY!

GM Series

Can't believe this one slipped off my mind :o
Anyway , the GM suits is one of my favourite grunt suits and the variety for it is astounding.
One of my favs was the GM Kai ( This image ) , Armored GM ( Armored GM FTW! ) , GM Sniper and GM Striker... and many more.

Vigna Ghina

What's odd about this mobile suit is probably the wings I suppose.
They look like tubes poking out of her back like a bunch of gasoline tubes or something :o
Still , one of the reasons I like this suit is because of the pilot - Cecily Fairchild =w=

F91 Gundam

F91 Gundam!
Equipped with beam launchers , beam rifles and 2x of everything else!
Seriously though , the dual beam saber thing was pretty cool.

Rafflesia

This HAVE to be the most bizzare looking Mobile Armor you'd ever lay your eyes on.
Tentacles , flower shaped body and not to mention - countless beams firing in your face as you attempt to approach it.
Oh - the tentacles aren't for show either.
I don't know whether I should look upon this gigantic scrap of metal in awe or disgust :o

Xi Gundam and Penelope Gundam

( Xi Gundam )

( Penelope Gundam )

Gigantic , oversized and extremely powerful suits FTW!
Ah darn it , I'm tired of giving descriptions - just enjoy the images :P

Ez8

Must be the EASIEST name to remember... *cough*

Apsalus Series

Crossbone Gundam Series

My particular favourite is - as seen in the image - Crossbone Gundam X1 Full Cloth.

Zondo Gei

I don't particularly like it but... hey , it does look like a particular something from Star Wars... *cough*

Erabado

Jagen Series

This concludes Part II and there would be Part III , IV , V... Until I've reached the Unicorn series.
I've probably forgotten some suits along the way so I'll trash them in later =w=

My Most Memorable Mobile Suits... PART I

Yes... it's time for some Gundam rant!

Red Z.A.K.U Zeon Char Custom ( and other Char Customs )

Generally , it's not the mobile suit in question which had made the mobile suit a living legend - it was the pilot.
Char has provided a bit of a headache every now and then to the hero with his custom mobile suits ( For one reason or the other - it was usually painted red ) and despite it being an inferior suit , he managed to fight on even ground against the first Gundam.

Hyaku Shiki

Yet another Mobile Suit under the service of Char Aznable - need I say more?

Qubeley Series

The shape and design of the suit is in itself a form of intrigue ( It looks like a... bee? )
As suggested by the term "series" , there are various other forms of Qubeley such as the Mk II and the Elpeo Custom.
Either way , the Qubeley DOES look like a bee...

Quin Mantha / Mansa Queen

Big , bad and definitely dangerous - but it , too , looks like a bee.
A friggin' oversized bee with large laser BEAMS!

Nu Gundam

The strongest impression that this Gundam have left me with is it's Fin Funnels.
The Fin Funnels of the Nu Gundam can be either used as a weapon or be used to form a triangular shield to defend it against smaller projectiles ( Though larger cannons would disassemble the shield... )
I'd like to add Sazabi as well but that may be too much CHAR for the sanity of the viewers.

Zeta White Unicorn

Whilst it doesn't actually appear in the main series , it's appearances in games and various other franchises alike was striking.
It's appearance is exactly of that of the Zeta Gundam - but it is painted white with pink trimmings here and there. When you use it in certain games - you'd feel like a white marauder sweeping across the battlefield.
Not to mention the Zeta White Unicorn is stronger as compared to the older Zeta.

Hi - Nu Gundam

Yet another suit which doesn't exist in the main plotline.
The Hi-Nu , however , does appear in Gundam games and it's abilities in such games were exceptional.
A powerful Funnel system , the arsenal is upgraded from that of the Nu Gundam and it's mobility have earned it a place in the Gundam games.
What more can you ask for?

Psycho Gundam

( This is Mk II by the way )
The U.C series is loaded with oversized Mobile Armor particularly around the Zeta timeline :X
Like the other Mobile Armor of it's time , it's equipped with heavy firepower and arnaments but unlike the others - it's appearance is closer to that of a Gundam compared to the others.
Though a normal Gundam doesn't have a gigantic blades lodged onto it's arms nor does a Gundam fires bullets from it's fingers.
Ouch.

Headache...

Ugh.... My head feels as though it's going to split apart or something....

Well , adding on , I couldn't get the games I wanted yet ( Trinity Universe , Agarest Zero , Arcana Heart 3 , Ar Tonelico... ) but I should be able to get them this week... hopefully. *twiddles thumbs*

Melty Blood Discussion

Title says it all.

Well , I guess I'd have to introduce my my mains first... :D
... Btw , I'm a Crescent Moon player - I don't really enjoy playing on other Moon types ( I find the lack of efficient moves... disturbing ) - save for certain occasions when I feel like playing with a different move set.

Tohno Shiki ( Crescent Moon , Half Moon ) ( Fav )

Nanaya Shiki ( Crescent Moon - Crescent Moon Nanaya FTW! ) ( Fav )

Arcueid Brunestud ( Crescent Moon ) ( Fav )

Red Arcueid ( Crescent Moon , Half Moon )

Ciel ( Crescent Moon ) ( Fav )

Tohno Akiha / Akiha Vermillion / Seifuku Akiha ( Crescent Moon , Half Moon )

Hisui ( Crescent Moon )

Kohaku ( Crescent Moon ) ( Firebombs are annoying )

Sion Eltnam Atlasia ( Crescent Moon ) ( Fav )

Arima Miyako ( Crescent Moon )

Len / White Len ( Crescent Moon )

Neco Arc / Neco Arc Chaos ( Crescent Moon )

Mech Hisui ( Crescent Moon )

Nero Chaos ( Crescent Moon )

Roa ( Crescent Moon , Half Moon )

Aozaki Aoko ( Crescent Moon ) ( Fav )

Ryougi Shiki ( Crescent Moon ) ( Fav )

Kishima Kouma ( Crescent Moon ) ( Fav )

ArcheType Earth ( Eclipse - There's only this mode ) ( OVERPOWERED! )

I can't really use little sister too well ( Akiha ) and I find Chaos more suited to be an enemy than my character XD
I can't really use Len either for one....

Anyways , what's your playing techniques? :3

Best PSP games I've played... prior to the death of it.

Well , my PSP died sometime ago ( R.I.P - The battery is almost useless now and half of the buttons are long gone )

Here lies a listing of games from their respective genres which had proved itself exceptional.

RPGs

Persona 3 Portable
Persona 3 Portable - whilst the graphics and general atmosphere is watered down compared to the original - the choice of playing as a girl which leads to a slightly different plot flow - as well as the gameplay value of which Persona in itself holds - has labelled this game as one of the best RPGs on the PSP.

Fate/Extra
If your simply watching this game from Youtube - it would certainly appear boring as it seems to be a typical rock-paper-scissors game of sorts. But if you actually got around to play it , it is unusually addictive with three different Servants which could be summoned.
The Servant with the highest base damage ( and recommended for beginners ) - Saber.
The Servant with an arsenal of skills in his command - Archer.
The Servant whom requires time to nurture - Caster.
Depending on the character you have chosen you may have to adapt yourself to their combat capabilities - not to mention that there are unreasonable bosses like Arcueid and Ryougi in the game.

Star Ocean Series ( Remake )
Probably one of the more addictive RPGs on the PSP.
Not to mention - the game takes quite a while to complete. Finishing the story is one thing but you may not have cleared other side events or optional events scattered across the map.

Disgaea Series ( Remake )
Well , if you already have played the Disgaea series on the console it's kinda pointless to get it for the PSP - unless your aiming for some DLC contents like me :X
Still - considering the amount of time it requires to grind a character to a respectable level - keeping Disgaea around your pocket is more convenient than keeping it at home...

Valkyrie Profile : Lenneth ( Remake )
Whilst it is a remake , the game itself being horribly linear ( The Bad Ends and Normal Ends are boring so you might as well go straight for the True End ) and the replay value of this game is low - the story in itself is worth the deal.
I wouldn't recommend this game if your looking for an RPG that lasts for quite a while but if your going for the story , Valkyrie Profile would prove to be an intriuging tale.

Final Fantasy Remakes
If your a fan of old school RPGs - the remakes of the FF series is a decent place to look into.
Needless to say , most of you ought to know what a FF game is like... or rather , how the older FF games were like.

Phantasy Star Portable
It's alright if you just got the latest one and not the first installment - since the second one had some major improvements from the first.
The customization that this game have to offer is one of the reasons why this game is so very addictive - though on the downside , Phantasy Star Portable still requires to player to play Multiplayer modes to obtain materials for S Rank upgrades.
Whilst it does have Action elements - this game have a stronger RPG factor as compared to it's action factor.

Action

Monster Hunter Series
Needless to say , the Monster Hunter series would be a decent buy.
Whilst the action does kick in slow and the player have to go through plenty of repetitive missions before they can finally start fighting some decent monsters - the patience is worth it as the challenge it offers is great and you'd probably keep this game for a quite a while if your good with Action games.

God Eater Burst
Whilst it lacks the diversity value of which Monster Hunter have to offer - it is a decent choice if a player enjoys playing Monster Hunter - but wants an easier version of it.
Generally , God Eater Burst is more RPG-ish compared to Monster Hunter and the fact that you can have AI allies in offline battles can make one's life a lot easier compared to Monster Hunter where all the hunts are done solely by yourself. ( Felines are of some help - but hey , their not exactly perfect )

The 3rd Birthday
Despite the short campaign and the miserable revival of the Parasite Eve plotline , the gameplay in itself has proved fairly addictive.
It's essentially a shooter with a lock on feature but the OverDrive system in this game and the diversity of weapons makes it better.
Replay value of this game is quite high... and I've actually finished the game 50 times to unlock the final video in the video theatre - the shower video. ( I can't help it , it's Aya we're talking about here... )

Dissidia Duodecim
I wouldn't really label Dissidia as a fighter - it's more of an Action game truth be told.
If you have the original Dissidia - Duodecim isn't really worth the buy since the new cast of characters doesn't really make up for the fact that the original characters are pretty much the same as ever.
Not to mention the game became slightly unbalanced due to the unique moves that the new characters bear.

Mecha

Gundam VS Gundam NEXT PLUS
Imagine a Mecha game with some 3D fighter elements.
That's exactly what GvG is.
GvG can prove quite addictive even if your not a Gundam fan owing to the odd 3D fighter / mecha system combination.
( My favourite units were the Wing Zero , Wing Zero Custom , Strike Freedom , God / Burning Gundam and probably the Nataku. Tried using the Tallgeese but it's not really my type. )

Gundam Assault Survive
Regardless of whatever the critics might say - I love this game.
Whilst I am pretty annoyed by how the developers had exempted Gundam Wing and G Gundam , the fact that there are like hundreds of units to use and unlock is simply... AWESOME!
At first , this game may prove a little slow-paced and boring since you have to use run-down units at first ( Z.A.K.U , GM , Ball... you get the idea ) but you would slowly unlock more powerful units ( V Gundam , Hi-Nu Gundam and some other Armor types )
Coincidentally , the Extra Missions Bosses in this game can be a challenge. ( I took them all down with the 00 Gundams )
There is also a Multiplayer feature as well - so you can pit against your friends or fulfill missions along with them.
( Side Note : Totally whooped my friend's arse with the Hi-Nu Gundam... it's overpowered. )

Strategy

Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics
Just grub these two at once if your into Tactical games.
"nuff said.

Valkyria Chronicles Series
The Valkyria series may prove a bit disorienting to newer players due to it's intergration of a simple shooter system into that of a strategy game.
What makes it unique is that the flow of the battle relies solely not on the wits of the player but also from active particupation from the player.
Still , don't expect something too tactically involved from this game - wits are required but true indepth thinking is reserved for nutty games like Shogun.

Music

Hatsune Miku : Project Diva 2nd
Easy , Normal and Hard mode may be quite ... easy , but what about Extreme mode?
I must admit this game had refined my reflexes in a way of which fighters could never hope to achieve...

Patapon
If Hatsune Miku : Project Diva was bad enough... meet your maker.
The player have to be heavily dependant on the music of the game to progress and I must admit - I found myself stuck every once in a while.

Fighter

Fate/Unlimited Codes
Easily the best fighter on the PSP.
Whilst full-chain combos are almost impossible to execute , simpler combos is very much possible for most players and the fact that the developers don't pull the stops in developing the characters as accordingly to the storyline is a very respectable feat.
Personally , I was surprised when I've managed to overwrite Rider's Bellorophon with Saber's Excalibur and Gil's Enuma Elish , in turn , would overwrite Excalibur.
Not to mention some characters , like Assassin , is more technical whilst others like Rider is swift and requires plenty of combos to perform in an ideal manner.
Still , Unlimited Blade Work's a pain to pull off - not to mention it hardly lasts a minute :X
( Need a remake of this game , with Shirou UBW with the addition of Fate/Zero and Extra Servants! )

Stealth

Metal Gear Solid : Portable Ops and Metal Gear Solid : Peace Walker
Whilst Portable Ops is a bit annoying ( At first ) , once you got used to it the game's actually simple enough to play.
Though the fact that you have to switch from character to character and that each of them can only carry four items is a pain in the neck.
On the upside - you can play as unique characters such as EVA or Ocelot.

As for Peace Walker - it's a far more refined game. You can still choose which character you want to use for side-missions but there is no longer the need to swap between members in the game as each mission is essentially a solo mission unless your playing with friends.
Not to mention the perks , jokes and Monster Hunter missions has transcended this game to the Throne of Godly Games.
On the downside - the camera is a mite bit annoying at times but you'd soon overcome it if your used to Portable Ops.
( The Dating Missions can be pretty awkward )

Don't think I've missed anything... or perhaps I have.
Oh well , no matter I suppose :P

Today is the day to buy games... and the day of dileminia

Well , I have 200+ dollars and the thing is - I probably need to save some up for future releases

I've already hand plucked my selections...

Arcana Heart 3 ( Priority )

Catherine ( Sub Priority )

Trinity Universe ( I STILL haven't got this yet - I kinda doubt any stores would stock this to be honest )

Ar Tonelico Qoga ( Low Priority )

No More Heroes ( Low Priority )

Deus Ex ( Mmm... ? )

I am the bone of my troubles
Paper is my money and fire is my games
I have created over a thousand dileminias
Unknown to resolve nor known to a happy end
Have withstood pain to make a decision
So , as I pray
TIGHT BUDGET WORKS!

Melty Blood - Character Impression

A listing of impressions I have on the characters of Melty Blood.

Tohno Shiki
Tohno Shiki's a bit slow ( All right , his awkwardly slow compared to Nanaya ) but he can dish out some pretty decent aerial combos and he have some pretty decent ground attacks which leads to such combos in question.
It's like using a watered down version of Nanaya or something.
Still - despite how it sounds once your used to using him , his a pretty powerful character by his own right.

Nanaya Shiki
My favourite character =w=
Fast , mobile and his Uppercut Kick can counter most attacks if used well.
Not to mention he have some pretty versatile attacks in his arsenal.
Though on the downside , his Teleport attacks leaves him fairly vulnerable prior to their execution and some of his attacks leaves him as open as a sitting duck to assaults.

Arcueid Brunestud
Powerful , fast and have some pretty decent combos.
On the downside , she lacks a bit of range in comparison to some of the characters.
Whilst she may be a walking melee horror , the lack of range would definitely make Ciel happy.

Red Arcueid
In comparison to Arcueid , Red Arcueid have a greater range potential but her Specials' damage can be easily reduced and she isn't quite as technical compared to Arcueid.
If one have to put it bluntly , she may be a pit of power - she leaves herself open during her attacks which - usually - can be dodged by jumping.
Still , an Unlimited Red Arcueid can get really annoying.

Ciel
Curry Girl!
Ciel is a pretty technical character to use considering the move sets that she utilises.
It'll take a while to master her but her great potential in both melee and ranged combat makes her one of the opponents you wouldn't really like to face.

Tohno Akiha
Akiha is a bit tricky to use and connecting lengthy combos with her takes quite a fair bit of skill.
On the upside , she can drain the Magic Circuit of her enemies - turning her into an annoying enemy to face in lengthy battles.

Vermillion Akiha
A more powerful form of Akiha with greater range and offence value.
Though both of them pretty much lives by the same rules - both of them takes skill to master.
Still , I don't use Akiha if I could help it so I can't really tell much of the perks that Akiha have.

Hisui
Whilst she is a surprisingly decent ( and unique ) character to use - her Last Arc is a bit of a waste considering that it only confuses the enemy and renders them immobile for a while.
Whilst most Last Arcs are killer moves - she renders her opponents defenceless solely for a moment... ugh.

Kohaku
A suprisingly lethal character =.=
Owing to how alien her moves are compared to the other characters it may prove distracting to human players and that fire bomb attack of her's is ever so annoying.

Nero Chaos
The man with six hundred and sixty six beasts in his body have some pretty... beastly attacks.
Whilst their not certainly effective if your talking about how fast their executed but Nero Chaos can prove dangerous to characters with only melee attacks as he can easily push such characters away with his brutal moves and even ranged characters may be annoyed by the crows and beasts that Chaos releases.

Len and White Len
Might as well describe these two at once.
Whilst they don't dish out the best damage ( Per Hit ) they can prove disorienting to human players owing to the dopplegangers that they spawn.
Still , it's not really going to work well on characters with lethal range.

Kishima Kouma
His a beast... A BEAST I SAY!
Whilst he certainly does lack ranged attacks , his melee prowess is one of the best.
Incredible damage , decent speed and burning fists - need I say more?
Piece of advise - Handicap Strong Kouma ( and Handicap Weak for yourself ) isn't recommended for newbies. One punch will send a quater of your Health into the Akasha.

Roa
I don't really like using Roa but his actually quite capable in combat if you know how to use him.
Like Akiha , he can plant "traps" on the ground which can be really useful for combos but on the downside , you'd require a fair bit of skill to pull a lengthy combo off.
Still , Roa's unusually well suited for combat despite his performance in the Visual Novel.

Ryougi Shiki
Like the other Shiki , her damage is a bit on the low side but her attacks are incredibly fast and her full combo can chunk off quite a lot of HP off the enemy.
Whilst she can't move quite as fast as Shiki , oddly enough , her attacks are faster in comparison and she's highly suitable for combos and colossal damage ( and butt kicking )
Not to mention she have a pretty awesome Last Arc.

Sion Eltnam Atlasia
Sion is a highly versatile unit and once you've managed to memorise her moves - a variety of combos will open up to you.
Convenitently her Etherlite and her Black Barrel Replica gives her some pretty decent range and she's fairly capable melee-wise as well.
Though her melee attacks have a fair bit of lag time here and there..... so... *cough*

Sion Tatari
Sion Tatari can create duplicates of other characters like Wallachia , but the lagtime for the attack of the characters is longer so the enemy have enough time to escape.
But whilst they escape , Sion can simply jump in and pluck at the enemy like a piece of fresh meat.
Though honestly put , her range potential isn't quite like that of her previous form.

Ugh... I think I'll complete the listing next time... feeling a bit... sick.
