If I had to take a guess, I'd say yes. ROB operates by reacting to brief flashes on the TV screen that you produce in-game with the NES controller. These cause him to move accordingly, and basically just push down buttons on a second NES controller. I can't say for sure, but I don't see any reason why a NTSC ROB wouldn't work for you.

I think the PC Engine Shuttle looks really cool. I mean c'mon, it's shaped like a spaceship! :P

I forgot the name of a certain site. You could almost type in every retrogame and it would tell you how rare or common it was.

The rarity guide at Digital Press maybe?

I spent forever, and I mean forever searching for a Vectrex in the wild. That, combined with the fact that there's no other home console that's like it, makes it my most prized gaming item.

Looks fake

The NES, SNES, and N64 d-pads all have arrows on them.

Also the SNES, and N64 d-pads are cross-shapped with a big circle around them. Not circle shaped with a cross around them.

Why would Nintendo not use the standard design when it's their trademark design? Specifically why would they drop the design, and then pick it back up for the n64?

Well, keep in mind it's only a prototype. They probably just wanted to get some basic controller design down, then add all the details and such later on.
