Strategists play strategy games. I played re4 because I wanted intense action. Then again, nobody likes a shooting gallery...
I wanted the game to unfold slowly, but it took that aspect too far: It gave me too much room. I had all the freedom I wanted to have while those unintelligent gonados slowly made their way towards me. I wanted to feel a creepy atmosphere of doom surround and suffocate me, and only HUNK gave me that priviledge.

You make a lot of valid points, and the Resident Evil you describe sounds both like a lot of fun and very akin to the intensity shown in RE5 trailers. However, it is too bad you couldn't fully enjoy the game, because it is not only the most I have ever enjoyed a game but likely the most I have enjoyed any narrative. You are a very rare person, because the only people I have met who could honestly say they did not enjoy this game were awful at it and could not pass the second chapter. I really like Resident Evil, but I am too slow to get the puzzles, so this action-oriented experience was everything I could ask for. I am getting extremely depressed as I write this, thinking about the game, because when I upgraded to a 360, I sold my gamecube and all of its games. I really just want to go through the game again. Maybe I'll buy a Wii...
