That really sucks.

But here are your options:

  • Ask him to pay up for the Ps3’s repair
  • Call his parents
  • Take it to court
  • Get a new roommate
  • Commit murder

Remember when gameplay mattered more than cutscenes ?

No ? Well I can't say I'm surprized.

I'm in the middle.

Like I said in the other forums, this is a dealbreaker between the purchase of a Ps3 and Ps4 IMO.

What I want to see from RPGs is better gameplay.

No seriously, I'm not trying to be a douche (okay I am but thats not the point). In my experience a great RPG doesn't even need halfway decent gameplay to be good (how else does one explain Skyrim and Final Fantasy), and developers will no doubt take advantage of that.

Plus as TC already mentioned Lore is very important for RPGs.

See Role Playing is not like other genres, its not Mechanical, its more Idealistic (most of the game is power by your imiganition and your ability to suspend belief) , without its lore an RPG just turns into number crunching, unlike Platformers, Racers and Action games were theres underlying mechanics that make it fun.

And now you know..... :)

100 % agreed.

@zjun: Thanks for the reply! I ended up buying Killzone and love it! I was able to get it brand new at Best Buy for $39.99 so that made it even more worth it.

No problem (-- a lot of @$$holes on here don't reply which is kind of annoying, I agree).

And dude I'm so happy for you, 40 $ for a next gen. game? Consider yourself lucky! :D Enjoy. c;

That's a bad gamer if they choose Killzone: Shadow Fall over Battlefield 4 for graphics.

And why's that?

Gameplay is the meat.

Touche!

I had assumed he had an PS3 already...

Now is the best time to buy one though, it's cheap and so are all the games. Very worth it.

Souls series alone being worth it!

I agree. c; The OP stated he had an Xbox 360 and is planning to switch to Sony's boat, so I don't think he has a Ps3.

Although I sort of see where you're coming with the 3DS perspective. It has tons of 2D RPGs (-- not my thing you see --) and Nintendo exclusives out for it. So if the OP favors that kind of thing, I think he/she should go for it.

For the PS4?

Didn't think there were many more shooters for it yet then the Killzone game.

Thanks for the reply! Yes for the PS4. Forgive me if I'm referring to those type of games incorrectly.

Killzone: Shadow Fall!

It has COD-like multiplayer and an excellent campaign.

And I don't recommend Battlefield for a beginner.

And like God will say, COD only if you're prepared for 12-year-olds that diss your mom (but be up for COD if you can get it for say... 20 $).

I'm a 22 year old college student so I don't really want to deal with young immature kids all the time. I've encountered that in NFS lately so I just turned chat off. I looked into Killzone and that does look like a good game. Is there any particular reason you wouldn't recommend Battlefield? I saw that the maps were larger and it was more of a team effort to accomplish the missions. I'm a complete noob when it comes to this type of games so your guidance is much appreciated! Thanks!

I see bro, I see. If you're very interested in Ghosts or COD in general, I'd say go for it. But from hearing from a lot of people on the internet and friends, it's not the best COD out there and definitely not worth the 60 $ price tag. And I won't recommend Battlefield (and it's not working right now if you've heard) for the precisely the reasons you've stated! So go for Killzone this gen~!

And good luck with college, life will get a lot better.~
