I just don't get why the same games can't be read on different consoles. It isn't just my copy of the game, it's all of them. After GTA4 stopped working, I borrowed my friends copy. His got the error eventually as well. Same with Halo 3, no matter whyich disc I use it says it is unreadable. I don't think it has to do with where my Xbox is located either. It is on a stand under my tv. It is wide open with even an open back to it. I haven't had any overheating problems at all after my first RRoD over a year ago. i switched places and it is fine now. I feel if I get a "fixed" Xbox from Microsoft it will have the same problem as my current one. Thanks anyways though.
Well, I'm on my 4th Xbox as of right now, and something is still wrong. The first Xbox RRoD. No big deal sent it in, got a new one. My next one began to not read disks, the first time I played the replacement Xbox. My next Xbox was doing great untill it started to say a few of my favorite games were scratched, Halo 3 and Assassins Creed at the time. I assumed it was still a disk drive problem because every Halo 3/ Assassins game I tried didn't work. Sent it in and got a new Xbox. The same games could't be read. Now GTA4 is having problems. That is the last game that I would ever want to be unreadable. So I called up Microsoft and asked if my hard drive could be doing this. The guy could barely speak English and had no idea, so I'll ask you guys. Do you think getting a new hard drive and importing data to it would fix this or, just restoring the hard drive and recovering my gamercard. Sorry for the long read and thanks in advance.
I'm scared to try this. THere are 50 other things you can type into google to get special results, I think "google 1337" is one of them but I'm not sure.
EDIT: I tried it and it froze my browzer, I hit the "I'm feeling lucky" button, are you supposed to?
