We’ve highlighted a few interesting tidbits below:

Which console is the most powerful? On paper, Microsoft's Xbox One X console is the most powerful system with its 6 teraflops of performance. This is over 4.5x of that of the original Xbox One and 1.4x the PS4 Pro, its closest console competitor.

No Caption Provided

Which console offers the most storage space? The console that currently offers the most storage space out of the box is the 2TB version of the Xbox One S. It’s worth mentioning that you can swap out the storage drives on the PlayStation 4 consoles, which is something Xbox One systems currently can’t do.

Which console is the smallest? Being a handheld console, the Nintendo Switch is the smallest system here measuring 4x6.8x2.1 inches.

Which console is the heaviest? While the Xbox One X is the smallest Xbox console yet, it's also the heaviest out the bunch, weighing in at 8.4 pounds.

You fail to mention that the PlayStation 4 Pro only UPSCALES to 4K (i.e. it fakes it), it doesn't support true 4K. Only the Scorpio will actually support native 4K.

@TJSpyke: Actually a lot of PS4 games run at 4K. I didn't think it would be able to, but a surprising number do. Presumably more will run at 4K on Scorpio though. And of course just because a game isn't running at 4K on Pro doesn't mean it isn't running higher than 2K, or otherwise taking advantage of the power.

EDIT: Also Scorpio games aren't required to support 4K either. Microsoft is also, wisely, leaving that up to developers.

@TJSpyke: When they say that a GPU "supports" 4K they don't mean that it actually renders anything 4K: they just mean that the GPU won't prevent a game from outputting at that resolution. So, for instance, the original PS4 totally had the power to run tetris in 4K. But you couldn't develop a 4K tetris game for it because it just wouldn't output at that resolution. (The makers of Trine actually complained about this. They said they could get their game to run at 4k/30FPS but Sony's hardware just didn't allow it).

So, while in almost every case, the PS4 Pro upscales to 4K, it nonetheless supports 4K because you could get it to output native 4K for an undemanding game.

@livedreamplay: no it up scales and does not display native 4k for games and the games that do go native are previous gen titles or really low impact indie titles which do not matter for resolution as they look the same no matter what. games in the current gen on the ps4 pro WILL NEVER reach native 4k because the ps4 pro was soley designed for a better vr experience and that is it's main reason for existence

@tonkinese: Dude, look up the list of games that RUN NATIVE 4k on PS4 Pro, it's not a secret or anything, there's the whole list online. Battleborn, FIFA17, The Last of Us Remastered, The Witness, and others run NATIVE 4k.

Lol since you were so sure they don't run native 4k, now finding out that they actually do, are you gonna run and buy a PS4 Pro? :))

This is a contradiction of itself. Make up your mind. Also straight from Sony's page.

"Native 4K on Pro

PS4 Pro enables game resolution output at native 2160p resolution. "

@darkelf83: he's pretty much saying that their aren't any aaa games that are native 4k. The only native 4k games are indies and games that aren't very demanding. If it does checker board rendering then it's not native 4k.

It looks amazing, but come on don't lie to yourself it can't handle most games at 4k.

@akassassin11: sony just need to be a lot clearer to their customers because it is not false advertising as it is in the fine print. if a dumbass like you was actually capable of reading previous comments instead of half arseing through them you would have read that i had said that it was designed for the vr in mind NOT FOR GAME ADVANTAGES IN 4K.

try to read and get your fanboy head out of the sand for a while and stop being a douche canoe.

All the ps4 pro is is just vr if you want to use vr it is strongly recommended to have a pro because vr game RUN LIKE FAECES WITHOUT A PRO!!!!!

@akassassin11: You are the dumbass. Bitter Sony fanboy upset that Xbox One is better. There is literally no reason to buy the PS4 Pro if you already own a PS4, the improvements are marginal at BEST, and no must-own games. Scorpio will handle it better, because MS has shown to be able to do it better than Sony.

Of course there is, the extra power developers can take advantage of.

If that's not worth the money to you, that's fine, but it's certainly a great reason for a lot of us to buy it.

@wolfpup7: Since every game has to be playable on the regular PS4 and can't be missing features, the Pro really doesn't add much to games. It's like a PC game where you can make small improvements to the game with a better graphics card, but that's it. If you don't own a PS4, then the Pro is the better choice. But if you already own one, it's harder to justify.

@tonkinese: You mean like Nioh, the brand new game coming out with native 4k support? But I suppose there's some other arbitrary reason why that doesn't count, right? PS4 Pro has native 4k games. I don't own a Sony console but I at least know the facts and don't try to move the goal post to fit an agenda. Like some.

@tonkinese: Now your just repeating yourself. Denial much? He are a few more for the list for ya. It's up to the developer to do this. If you've got a problem take it up with them not Sony. Obviously they've provided a platform capable of Native 4K as seen by the "NEW AAA" titles supporting it.

NBA 2K17 (Native 4K@60FPS + HDR)

FIFA 17 (Native 4K@60FPS)

Ni-Oh (Native 4K@30FPS)

I sit and read the reviews and the comments. We have seen little of Scorpio, but game developers are already underway with game design. From the latest reports the new processors from AMD seem like they will be challenging Intel. I believe that the Scorpio will have no issue with 6 tflops. I was completely disappointed in that the pro still requires the external unit and its wiring for the box to run VR. The processor in the PS4 Pro is two 1.6 ghz this means the processor power increase about 30%. They did not increase the ram on the PS4 Pro. Sony has the head start, but Microsoft has a more powerful unit on the way. I think I will wait.

@ohsonice1959: They probably kept the outside box due to the design of the VR more than the need. I could be totally wrong, it just seems like a design thing, not a power thing with the Pro.

I think PS rushed with the Pro and could've spent a little more time beefing it up a bit. It still looks like it will be great, but somethign tells me it's riding the very edge of what is needed for solid 4K performance, etc.

@esqueejy: That's obvious since the Pro doesn't actually support 4K. It only upscales to 4K. The Scorpio will support native 4K (it's like the difference between a Blu-ray Disc player upscaling a DVD to HD vs. playing a Blu-ray title).

It's funny how you compare 6 systems while we know next to nothing about one of them(Scorpio). You can't compare 2 or more things when 1 of them is an unknown factor and just toss 'TBD' in almost every category. Just saying.

@redalert539: We pretty much know what Scorpio is-same deal as PS4 Pro except even more GPU than PS4 Pro has.

The base consoles are cool, PS4 Pro is a steal at just $100 more for 2x the GPU, and "Xbox One Pro" is better still, which is awesome.

@deathblow3: I think with play anywhere, your best bet is a decent gaming PC and a PS4 pro, that combination makes the scorpio pointless except for 4k bluray. If you really need that, get a scorpio, or get an xbox slim when the price goes down. No point in getting both scorpio and ps4 pro imo, unless you really have no desktop PC, which I guess is possible.

@adam_nox: The PS4 has almost no exclusive games. And the Scorpio is the only system supporting true 4K. So if you have to pick, the Scorpio is the better pick over the Pro. You get better graphics and 4K support, plus more games than Pro (and a better controller since Sony controllers suck so much).
