We’ve highlighted a few interesting tidbits below:

Which console is the most powerful? On paper, Microsoft's Xbox One X console is the most powerful system with its 6 teraflops of performance. This is over 4.5x of that of the original Xbox One and 1.4x the PS4 Pro, its closest console competitor.

No Caption Provided

Which console offers the most storage space? The console that currently offers the most storage space out of the box is the 2TB version of the Xbox One S. It’s worth mentioning that you can swap out the storage drives on the PlayStation 4 consoles, which is something Xbox One systems currently can’t do.

Which console is the smallest? Being a handheld console, the Nintendo Switch is the smallest system here measuring 4x6.8x2.1 inches.

Which console is the heaviest? While the Xbox One X is the smallest Xbox console yet, it's also the heaviest out the bunch, weighing in at 8.4 pounds.

@garf02: Exclusives is a matter of taste, the online is paid for Nintendo too now, the hacked issues are gone and the servers are damn stable for both Xbox and PS (we'll have to see about the Nintendo servers...).

So yes, still, every single category...

@garf02: The Switch online price hasn't been released yet, but it should be cheaper considering it has less games, not necessarily a good thing though...

And since the specs are worse for the Switch, the only way more games would have 60fps is if the games are really poor visually, but that's not a good thing either...

As I said, every category...

@isariamkia: Here we go again. 1080p is just a RESOLUTION! My $100 phone has a 1080p output, that doesn't mean it's a top notch device graphically, it just means that it outputs in that resolution... ffs...

@livedreamplay: Yep, that exactly means that the graphics can be seen with 1080ppp and which means that's high quality. If the games are poor visually it's not because of the Switch it's because of the game which is bad and don't tell me the game is bad because the Switch can't run it, that would be bullshit.

Mario Kart 8 is visually fantastic, it runs with 1080p at 60fps. And there will be other games like that.

Now if you are like a lot of people, who think good graphics = photo realism then I can't do anything for you.

@isariamkia: False, 1080p means the resolution is high quality, not the graphics. Detail, textures, depth, effects, none of them have anything to do with the resolution or the frames per second. Look up some screenshots for the game Fez, it's a game that looks like it was made in the early 90s, yet it runs 1080p/60fps. That's essentially what Nintendo's doing with the poor specs of the Switch, but obviously not at that scale...

@livedreamplay: But the game is still beautiful, it isn't visually poor. It has a good art design, so that what I'm saying, the Switch isn't a problem, it can run 1080p games, obviously not those big AAA next gen games but still. A Mario Kart 8, or a FEZ aren't less beautiful than an Uncharted or a GTA5.

The only thing is that Switch will run game that are designed to be on a Nintendo console which is fine because Nintendo won't be on the same market as PS and xbox.

@isariamkia: Yes, some games manage to do the trick even through the artwork, but when I was saying 'good graphics', I meant graphically advanced games. Something that the Switch will have a hard time pulling off with those specs...

@garf02: Apparently you don't understand how it works, do you? :))

Whether the games are better looking, or have more FPS is a decision that the developer makes, not the console. Since the PS4 is more powerful, it can run games in 60fps much easier, now whether the devs want that or they prefer the games to look better, it's completely up to them. ;)

@livedreamplay: Yes, of course, because PS4 is a current gen console and Switch is a high end handheld. It's "last gen+" specs, which is pretty awesome.

@wolfpup7: Switch (if Nintendo didn't lie) is not just a handheld, but a home console that can be a handheld as well. So as long as they put it alongside the other consoles, it's only fair that we compare them alongside the other consoles...

@livedreamplay: Of course we can compare them, but it's not realistic to expect a portable to be able to match current gen specs.

They used basically as powerful hardware as they could have realistically used, which is pretty cool. It's better for 2017 than 3DS was for 2011, and 3DS has lots of great games.

@wolfpup7: Problem with your argument is any good pc laptop maker could make a Switch sized portable gaming unit that is more powerful than the XB1 or PS4 and probably have similar batter life. You can't justify it at all, Nintendo massively skimped on the hardware here, and not because the form factor forced them to. Then they have the gall to charge such a high price for those low specs.

Unless they go ham on the games they offer (which they have not done the last two gens) they will tank, again.

No they couldn't. Switch is about as powerful as it could realistically be. How on Earth do you think it could EXCEED a PS4, much less exceed Switch? LOL

No, they didn't.

The One S has a Kinect port? Not worth mentioning you can add external storage to Xbox in the same breath used for praising PS4 for upgradable internal storage?

@RS13: i like the xbox one because you can just plug in an externsl hdd and go! The stupid Ps4 you gotta take out the hdd and you better buy a 2tb cause a 1tb fills up quick . You can put 2 external hdd and have like 10TB or more! That is crazy! You'll never run out of space!

@Jag-T1000: I'm pretty sure the PS4 supports external hard drives--the PS3 did. The reason you'd want to replace the PS4 hard drive is because the HDD it comes with is . . . {loading} . . . {loading} . . . slow.

@osxgp: Its because of the cartridges that it'll utilize. As opposed to CDs or digital (PS4 or XBox), the Switch won't need to download any games to its hard drive. Not a bad thing, really.

@purbred1: ummm wtf are you talking about? Yes you can buy physical media like any other console, but more and more people want to download their games through an e-shop. Not to mention all the huge file size updates games get today...

Or by carts are you referring to the SDXC cards you can buy that are very slow to read and write compared to even a mechanical drive?

@purbred1: Most games have patches these days that are several GB in size, which you must put on storage. And again like others said, lots of gamers want to download their games, not use cartridges. Either way, cartridges or storage, Nintendo loses because they're living in the past with both choices.

@ShimmeringSword: I heard a rumor that Switch cards are rewritables so as long as patch is not MASSIVE. the will just replace Data in card and then just be read by the console.

even if its not. you are just defending the terrible trend that is release broken games and use "patching" as an excuse.

also, im sorry you are so (insert word) to know cartridges has always been superior to Disks media in any single sense.. other than storage space, and this is changing already

I know for me, Nintendo will have the most exclusives I cannot get on my PC. They will have a portable. Also no under the hood specs have been confirmed. I will also add that it will most definitely be an upgrade from Vita and 3DS regardless of what console competition it has. So even if all I wanted it for was the portable aspect and my Nintendo games, it really is the best option for that. I already have a PS4. I think the Switch is the best option. I can get western style games on any console at this time. Only Nintendo can give me the Nintendo experience. And most of the other consoles are trying to sell me PC bullshit. I have a PC. I don't want a PC. the games I buy on my console are things like Yugioh Legacy of the Duelist... you know... things I can't get on my PC.

@eliminatorpaige: It has to have enough power to play current gen games. If the Switch doesn't get games like GTA 5, Mass Effect Andromeda Red Dead 2, Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout 5, Assassins Creed, Watch Hogs, BF, CoD, Titanfall, Dragon Age 4, ect., it's going to have a tough time getting core gamers to be interested in it. Also, people that buy only 1 system may not want a system that doesn't have these major 3rd party games.

6-year old Skyrim doesn't count, sorry...

@csward: Yeah sure because people would buy a Switch to play next gen games ? Almost every one has a PS or Xbox or PC. Switch wouldn't sell if it was only for the next gen consoles, if it sells it's because it can gets games that other platforms will never have.
