Which console is the most powerful? On paper, Microsoft's Xbox One X console is the most powerful system with its 6 teraflops of performance. This is over 4.5x of that of the original Xbox One and 1.4x the PS4 Pro, its closest console competitor.

No Caption Provided

Which console offers the most storage space? The console that currently offers the most storage space out of the box is the 2TB version of the Xbox One S. It’s worth mentioning that you can swap out the storage drives on the PlayStation 4 consoles, which is something Xbox One systems currently can’t do.

Which console is the smallest? Being a handheld console, the Nintendo Switch is the smallest system here measuring 4x6.8x2.1 inches.

Which console is the heaviest? While the Xbox One X is the smallest Xbox console yet, it's also the heaviest out the bunch, weighing in at 8.4 pounds.

True, but all Xbox One consoles support external hard drives that can be swapped out.

@thedefect: Because it's so much more convenient to have to power down your console open it up and remove the drive then insert a new drive and close it back up than to have to unplug a USB port. I sure am suffering on XO with my 4TB HDD for games on one USB port and my 2TB HDD for movies on another USB port and can switch it to my PC in seconds.

@thedefect: Of course Sonyspot didn't tell us that. The Xbox One supports up to 48TB external storage and 2TB internal storage. So up to 50TB of space.

@kvally: yeah, that's more convinient. It's just like saying the controller doesn't come with rechargeable batteries, but the dualshock batteries, which now last under 2 hours for me, are better.

Meanwhile, I play rainbow six siege and when I run out, I swap in New batteries for instant full batteries.

I use the rechargeable battery pack on my other controller which easily gives 30 hours. This is fact.

Easy marketing to make options look bad.

@kvally: how come it says only the original Xbox one doesn't support 4k output? Ps4 slim does not have 4k output/upscaling either

@jimmythang: Hi, Jimmy. You mentioned all but he of Xbox one support 4k output?

How does the ps4 slim support 4k output? From Sony's press event, it is 1080 p and added hdr via an update. Ps4 slim does not have 4k output/upscaling.

@jimmythang: This is a quote from a year ago. A promise Sony made and never made good on. The PS4 and PS4 Slim do not output anything at 4K at the moment.

@jimmythang: I'm speaking about 4k output. I.e you can go to the settings and select 4k output, which upscales games to 4k.

In the article you mention that only the original Xbox one doesn't support 4k output.

But the ps4 slim/original ps4 don't support it either. I've got the ps4 slim with the latest update. No option to switch to 4k output/upscaling.

My source is digital foundry. They have mentioned this In several videos, and this goes with what Sony announced at their event.

@chiefwiggum16: haha.

I'm so tired of seeing all the bias on this site.

I'm sure Jimmy Thang didn't do this intentionally and maybe it's just error in the info but.

Other than that this site is extremely pro Sony. It's a trend of all Sony exclusives scoring two/one point higher than other sites. They also do damage control. All sites critized the last guardian this week, and gamespot s article was damage control. Same with all the reviews. Uncharted, No Mans Sky, Until Dawn. Etc etc

They also do these skeptical interviews about pc and Xbox users. The articles have a skeptical tone about Xbox and Eddie the evertroll fans the flames of the console war whilst instantly reporting on stories broken by hard working sites such as Eurogamer, Kotaku, and even IGN, if you'd believe it.

The bias is very much against gamer culture. Play games and enjoy. There is nothing wrong with enjoying both PlayStation and Xbox platforms. They both have been at times better than the other.

Shame really

@jimmythang: True, but you also mentioned the ability to swap out the HDD on the PS in the chart. None the less, nice work on putting that together.

If history tells us anything, it's that you should just go with the console that has the most compelling games for you, it's that simple. The only real factor that separates the consoles is the handling of 4K Blu Rays & streaming. If 4K Blu Rays are a must for you, then you should probably choose the X1S. If not, then i'll direct you back to my first point :)

@paul136: 4K Blu Rays is the only way to play games unless you order then from the playstation store. This is a move to force digital downloads so that they can cut out the middle men like BestBuy.

@simplytheebest: That's my point, if you want native 4K for games then you need a 4k Blu-Ray player. Anything else will be upscaled. They are forcing movie and game purchases from their digital store since the system doesn't support native 4K but upscaled.

@G4mBi7: No, a game is just software and therefore the only reason you might need a 4K drive is if a game is larger than 50GB and you want to ship it on a single blu-ray.

@favalli: If you have the current consoles you're fine. There is no reason to upgrade unless they bring something completely different to the table - like VR. That will take a while.

@mikemurphy80: There is a thing called ad placement when your are designing your site and if you do not test your site some ads will not work with the layout and thus your getting paid by the advertisers to cover the content on your page. Pop up ads are automatically disabled by all major browsers so to say a thing like that is just well.....
