Which console is the most powerful? On paper, Microsoft's Xbox One X console is the most powerful system with its 6 teraflops of performance. This is over 4.5x of that of the original Xbox One and 1.4x the PS4 Pro, its closest console competitor.

No Caption Provided

Which console offers the most storage space? The console that currently offers the most storage space out of the box is the 2TB version of the Xbox One S. It’s worth mentioning that you can swap out the storage drives on the PlayStation 4 consoles, which is something Xbox One systems currently can’t do.

Which console is the smallest? Being a handheld console, the Nintendo Switch is the smallest system here measuring 4x6.8x2.1 inches.

Which console is the heaviest? While the Xbox One X is the smallest Xbox console yet, it's also the heaviest out the bunch, weighing in at 8.4 pounds.

SONY crashed and burned hard this month. first PS+ price hike (then it goes offline twice in a week, Then a report comes out saying Xbox live is faster and more reliable)) , PS4 pro so lackluster it isnt funny. (no native 4k, no HD blu ray player, and about 2 teraflops less powerful than project scorpio) PS Now is garbage and expect us to pay for it (they want us to accept 720p when all they can talk about is 4k). No one i know gives a flying f*** about the ps4 slim considering it a complete waste of money. Sony is banking on VR... 1st gen VR which is total garbage and needs at least 2 more gens of R&D before its really something special. Anyone who has tried a VR demo can tell you its simply not ready yet, its a fantastic proof of concept, nothing more.

Im sorry SONY you failed mid gen, you came out like Mike Tyson fast and brutal in the first round, now you're going out like Glass Joe.

1080p is still the gold standard and Sony (a tv maker, go fig) is shoving 4k down our throats when it isnt ready yet.

traded in my PS4 for an Xbox one S and i don't regret a single thing. Now i can play Xbox games in my living room in addition to my PC (play anywhere ftw) couple that with a gaming laptop and now i can take my Xbox games anywhere.

Even with the Ps4 Pro, my i76600k, Geforce 980 TI will run circles around SONY's best shot, and they want to get PC gamers away from their PC and onto PS$? fat chance.

@tachsniper: Only problem there with the play anywhere. SONY already has done this back in like April of this year and complaining about the PSN being down. It is called maintenance and security updates you know the stuff people complain about SONY's PSN of not having good enough of.

@tachsniper: Excuse my french, but are you dumb or what? why would you get an Xbox One S if you have a gaming PC? There are no longer any exclusives for Xbox, so you can just play the best versions of the games on your PC. That PS4 would've atleast have games you can't get for PC.

I also have a gaming PC, so basicly PS4 (or Pro) is the only console i need because of the exclusives. I have my PC hooked to the TV in my livingroom (along with a comfortable desktop setup, where it's physically located) with a long, singnal-amplifying HDMI cable, and i use wireless Xbox controller for games that are better played with a gamepad = just like a console experience, only with far better graphics.

Basicly, Xbox has ZERO things it can offer to me. ZERO.

@tachsniper: the ps price hike of less than $1 per month? Wow. Ps pro does have native 4k games as already confirmed. It does support 1080p with increased performance and/or visuals. PSNOW is all 720p games because that's what they originally were... not hard to figure that out... for the rest of your rant: opinions.

@JRD1912: Well since half the games this gen were indies and remasters, I'd say it'd be closer to 50% native 4k lol. I get what your saying... but I'm only commenting on what is confirmed. I have no clue what games will or won't be native 4k yet. DF said the checkerboard system works very well giving the appearance of native 4k. Sitting 10 feet from the tv, it'll hardly be discernable.

@joshrmeyer: Kind of like how 900p and 1080p sat 10 feet away you can't tell the difference, didn't stop people going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on etc about it.

I really hate this power war thing, it's the worst kind of dick measuring.

4K is just a curiosity right now. Most of people still don't have proper display devices (TV sets, monitors) to enjoy such high resolution. I would replace 4K for constant 60 fps anyday.

@Vojtass: They're future proofing. Before they release their next consoles, a lot more people would have adopted higher resolution tv sets. Probably. I am going to buy a 4k oled HDR television when they come down in price a little, as well as a 4k projector. After 4k and HDR, where will tv go? Paper thin probably... and of course VR.

@consolehaven: Future proofing? No, it's marketing strategy. I highly doubt that 4K display devices will have more than 30% share of the market in the next 4 years. Right now it simply isn't worth the effort and money. 4K is just a buzzword being used by marketing departments everywhere. MS/Sony/Nintendo will release completely new consoles and 4K still won't reach 50% milestone.

@Vojtass: There is a bigger agenda, though. Even if market penetration is that slow, and it could very well be, MS and Sony want to attract the crowd that has disposable income to sell them other products, The other thing to remember is the fps stability both consoles will bring as well as more and better graphical effects. So, it's not JUST about resolution. Finally, since both MS and Sony aren't losing so much money per console sold, if any at all, they can risk having a two spec console generation to keep people from migrating over to PC gaming.

@consolehaven: Console corporation can have high resolution OR 60 fps. They can't have both at the same time, their hardware is too weak for that.

@consolehaven: better start saving your money now if you want 4k oled cause oled is expensive tech and won't go down much if any and you'll end up with a 50 inch for like 5000$. And you're wishing for a 4k projector too which are even more expensive , are you sure you have room in your trailer for the projector? You sound like you have Champaign taste on a kool-aid budget otherwise you'd have this stuff already and not be "waiting for a price drop".

@jimmythang Thanks for updating the graphic to reflect that the Xbox One S is the only console out right now that can output video at 4K. The paragraph "Which consoles support 4K? All of the consoles here, with the exception of the original Xbox One, support 4K video playback, but the only consoles that purport to support 4K gaming include Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft’s Project Scorpio system." needs to be changed as well.

Ummm. Scropio does not even exist.

Its just some spoken words at e3

There is nothing to show. Nothing, just words and a hopeful release date.

Why is anything even been compared to it.

Microsoft had to react the the neo thing. So now they have 12mths to make the most powerful console even made.

Goodluck ms.

@loudroom: Umm Scorpio is not using tech ahead of its time. Specs are likely reliable, or would increase by the time it hits production. WTF is with all these nonsense posts bashing Scorpio like its some future BS that wont happen? My GTX 1080 shits all over both consoles. MS isnt pulling a rabbit out of a hat to produce this thing. Get a clue.

@blitzking: If you can see why MS had to talk about a "project" theyre working on 17 months prior to release, then you are blind. Not saying it isn't coming, but saying they had to say something so the ps pro didn't look as good. Scorpio Dev kits are just pc boards right now. Same as the ps4 pro 17 months ago. Do t even know why we're talking about scorpio yet. Might as well talk about the ps5, or better yet, the nx, or the next big video card. No one cares about stuff that far off. Once it gets closer to launch, I hope there's a ton of articles about it.

@joshrmeyer: Sigh, another Sony guy hopes Scorpio doesn't come out. It's very unlikely Sony will release a PS5. And a whole year gives Microsoft time to innovate. And Scorpio was announced first, so why would they say something after Pro? Some of you guys are laughable. Every article I read I see the same guys bash Microsoft. It's like you have no lives.

@blitzking: Sigh... read all my comments on scorpio before jumping to that conclusion. I have no doubt it will be more powerful than any other console at launch. What I stress is that it's just a "project". Dev kits have probably gone out by now, so don't expect any changes in performance. It will be a great system if priced right, AT launch... 14 months from now barring a delay. It's crazy to talk about it so early. Next E3, we'll have plenty to talk about on the scorpio. Right now people are talking about it only to try to hurt ps4 pros sales.

@smokerob79: I don't care much for resolution or framerates, as long as the console does its job of running a game then I'm happy.

I don't understand the logic behind people's minds, they whine and bitch about PCs needing upgrades but when SONY or Micro$oft does they're all over it. What the hell?

@Rovelius: oh dude i dont get console gamers at all......i have posted a few times about the real cost of console gaming as if you were to think about it in 5 year chunks......if you got a 400 dollar console and its 50 bucks a year for online the real world cost would be 750 for the console with 5 years of online.......i get a tons of morons saying most people dont have online and its not a real cost factor but truth be told 3 quarters of all PS4 owners have online for it and 48 million people were active members of live with online game play even if a ton of them were on 360's as of Jan of this year.....if new consoles are coming every 3 years its going to be cheaper to game on PC then it is now.......

All i see is people rushing out of stores with GREAT deals on 1080p TV's. And all the 4K TV's just sit on the shelves. Let's put it this way, back in 1997 when I worked at Sams Club, I remember they released some of the first DVD's. The players were 4 to 500$. I didn't get my first DVD player until about 2003..and most people did about the same. VHS tapes still dominated until about 2005-06 I'd say. And weren't completely phased out until about 2011 or so. So with 4k you can count on at least another 10 to 15 years before it even comes close to phasing out Blu-Ray. So I wouldn't be in any rush to get one of these consoles OR a 4K TV. Ask the average person what 4K is the first thing they say is, you mean 401k?!! ha
