We’ve highlighted a few interesting tidbits below:

Which console is the most powerful? On paper, Microsoft's Xbox One X console is the most powerful system with its 6 teraflops of performance. This is over 4.5x of that of the original Xbox One and 1.4x the PS4 Pro, its closest console competitor.

No Caption Provided

Which console offers the most storage space? The console that currently offers the most storage space out of the box is the 2TB version of the Xbox One S. It’s worth mentioning that you can swap out the storage drives on the PlayStation 4 consoles, which is something Xbox One systems currently can’t do.

Which console is the smallest? Being a handheld console, the Nintendo Switch is the smallest system here measuring 4x6.8x2.1 inches.

Which console is the heaviest? While the Xbox One X is the smallest Xbox console yet, it's also the heaviest out the bunch, weighing in at 8.4 pounds.

Microsoft lied and fked all their fans all generation. Now fans have to wait a year for Microsoft to copy Sony's PS4 Pro initiative. HDR in every PS4 after Microsoft scammed idiot fanboys into buying the Xbone S VCR for HDR. Not every game will make use of Scorpio or PS4 Pro extra power.

Xbone S can't even compete with the PS4 slim. Xbox doesn't even have exclusives. Forget Xbox. It's a joke.

@xboticon: hahaha.

Xbox one s is way superior in terms of features and overall build and value, compared to ps4 slim.

The ps4 slim looks like the baby cousin of the PS4, which btw was a sleek console.

The slim just looks like a sandwhich, or a bathroom scale.

Xbox one S looks so great. Plus having Xbox live , multi tasking, backwards compatibility; your ps4 slim is nice, but nowhere near as cool as Xbox one s.

@xboticon: Your existence is a joke. So tell me about every thing Sony copies? Elite controller, subscription price, console to compete with Scorpio? You know this because Sony already won, why would you make another slim and a powerful console after you already have a 4?

I think you're too butthurt to realize that Sony will suffer because of their delays too. Microsoft games are actually better than you think.

@xboticon: Can't even?

Do you realize the Xbox One S is more comparable to the PS4 Pro? The Pro has a faster GPU and...that's about it. Not to diminish that. As for exclusives, you have got to be trolling. The PS4 is still waiting for its killer app (other than UC4) and this holiday season is STILL waiting.

@Tekarukite: the Pros gpu is 4.2 tflops compared to xboxs 1.3 tflops. Xbox one s still uses ddr3 RAM, so forget any bandwidth. There's a huge difference in the two... only thing really comparable is the CPU and both have hdmi 2.0 for 4k streaming.

@joshrmeyer: its for VR primarily. Will they use it for straight games? Highly questionable, would cause a divide that both companies are really trying to stay clear from. Which in the end its gonna be like PC, whoever has the better hardware.

Xbox One S has 1.4 teraflops
Xbox One S doesn't come in black
PS4 Pro - 4k should say yes but only streaming and gaming.

(1080p Blu ray > 4k Streaming)

Article is kinda stupid without actual specs from the scorpio and PS4 pro but at least get ALL the info for the others.

@dylan35: USB 3.0 external drives actually load games faster than internal drives. Google it.

Xbox drive policy is better than PS4.

People don't seem to notice this but the ps4 slim is simply a slim ps4 and not a competitor to the one s.

The ps4 pro is actually what competes with the one s, they are both enhancements to the originals, adding 4k. The ".5" of you will.

Sony is yet to reveal their answer to Scorpio, you know, the future of ps gaming.....

Xb1 - ps4, ps4slim

Xb1S - ps4pro

Scorpio - ???

So you guys clearly don't see that project Scorpio is being pushed as the future xbox and the ps4pro (notice the "ps4" in the name) is an enhanced ps4?

It's very obvious that it's still a ps4 and not the future.

@RJS86: Wrong! Xbox S is literally nothing, but a slimmed down version on the xbox one. With that they had space to add internal power supply and get rid of their bulky huge outside power supply, they also added 4k bly-ray player which is meaningless, considering that less than 0.5% percent of all TV's are 4k capable and they cost a ton of money.

As far as 4k support, its for video playback only. Again the Xbox one S is the same hardware with just an updated bly-ray drive that allows for 4k bly-ray movies to be played naively on 4k TV.

The PS4 PRO on the other hand more than doubles graphic performance, while their CPU is also clocked higher, though probably no more than 2.2GHz as that is the maximum the Jaguar core is rated for, anything more than that would be extremely power inefficient.

@RJS86: No, I think this is it for PS. I don't think they will release another enhanced PS4. You may see a refresh in the PSPro-"Slim". But I don't think they will make another machine (sony nor MS after the Scorpio). Sony has made it clear, they want that Pokemon Go money in mobile. And they are betting a lot in VR. The PSPro is only here to sell Sony 4K TVs.

@nighterrorx: i agree. Knowing there corporate dealings in the past and the strong notes given(from both ms and sony) this is Sonys' last machine, like you said, maybe a reiterated version of Pro with interchangeable components. But not a fresh box

@spartanx169x:

That feature is awesome on xbox i agree but you cant upgrade , change/repair the buildin HD as easily (if at all) as the PS4.

On mine i changed the HD on day one with a SSHD 1TB. I hate that MS dont make it easier to change the most vulnerable part easy. HD's break easily and they are unpredictable. They might work for 8 years or 6 months. It should be simple to change them.

I was going to buy an XBOX ONE S just because of the 4k blu ray playback because the Pro doesn't offer that. So, I checked out some reviews online that pitted it against the Samsung and Panasonic 4k players. The 4k playback on the "S" looked a lot like the blu ray version compared to the other 4k players. That is probably why the XBOX ONE S needed an update in order to play 4k discs is because it is only emulating software and doesn't have the true tech built in and that is why the XBOX ONE S only supports HDR for gaming which now since the PS4's 4.00 update now all the PS4s support HDR and only PS4 PRO being 4k gaming. Then I was going to hold out for the Scorpio but I started reading articles online that SONY didn't offer it because 4k media is just becoming mainstream and they want to see where it is going. So, I'm suspecting a big announcement at E3 2017 that the PS5 or whatever the new console will be called will be out Q2 2018 and will surpass the Scorpio specs and be more affordable. So, If the Scorpio is priced out of my range then I will either wait for a price drop or on SONY's next console and don't worry fanboys I haven't forgot about Nintendo's big announcement as well, fingers crossed.

Wow even after months of the console known to have 12GB RAM you still can't report it. Do any of the authors actually read social Media or look for themselves? Are we also forgetting it has double Memory for games?

I guess not.

@Ducez_III: I would get the PS4 Pro because even if you don't have a 4k TV the games will still have added graphics and lighting effects plus they will run a lot smoother. As an added bonus the hard drive is double the size and it is only 100 bucks more.

@MAXTHUNDER99: Funny, though, both manufacturers have told devs NOT to make games with two specs in the frames department. It's either 60 fps on both specs or nothing. So, the truth is, the specs for both consoles won't be used to their full advantage. The Scorpio especially. Actually, that said, it also means the Scorpio will prob. run games natively at 4k 30 fps. While both consoles should hit 1080p at a locked 30 fps. with both displaying more graphical effects.

I am loving all the Sony fanboys below hoping the Scorpio doesn't actually come out, trying to discount it as wishful thinking on MS's part. As if MS isn't one of the most powerful companies in the world that can put out whatever the hell it wants next year and likely at under $500. It is nice to not be an idiot fanboy since soon I can pick up a PSpro and new graphics card for my PC. Then next year I can get Scorpio.

@krigan: Well, we'll see what happens when it happens. Scorpio is definitely real, and has more raw power. Sony on the other hand makes tvs and projectors, and have a lot of experience when it comes to upscaling images through hardware. Who knows. The lower price point / lack of tv sets to really tell upscale from native apart, might tide them over until the next upgrade...

@consolehaven: I definitely think that is Sony's strategy. They will have 1 year head start and most people "won't see the difference" between upscale and native. Tho at native, the Scorpio will probably be able to show off other effects that the Pro can't, so differences could be visible.

Meanwhile, Sony can also benefit from non-exclusive GAMES being sold this year for the Pro for those that really want all the bells and whistles.

Oh wow, the PS4 Pro looked like it would be pretty heavy to me, but the original Xbox One is still heavier, eh?

I think there's an error here:

"Which consoles support 4K? All of the consoles here, with the exception of the original Xbox One, support 4K video playback, but the only consoles that purport to support 4K gaming include Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft’s Project Scorpio system."

The PS4 and PS4 Slim don't support 4K video, right? Either this statement is incorrect, or the table above it is incorrect.

@kutulu1: What specs are given are likely reliable. Both consoles are still far short of anything on PC. These are not magic numbers that are being tossed around for show. Nothing in either system is all that new. Both are based on current AMD tech, and both CPUs still suck balls. Quite being a PS4 fanboy. What remains too be seen is how EITHER console handles TRUE 4k. Both are likely going to end up being mainly upscaled between 1080 and 1440p.
