Halo 3, Fable II join Elite Xbox 360 bundle

@Ozzie Look I dont hate the 360 or MS. I am just trying to prevent major dissapointment for potential new console buyers by stating facts. 1.The ps3 doesnt make any sound. Maybe the new 360's make less sound as well but who cares in that case. 2. All ps3's get the laser unit error? Err I never even heard of it while the RROD is in the dictionary and actually broke a dubious record of being the worst product ever. We should just all pray MS doesnt start make cars! 3. Yes 90% of the multiplatform looks slightly better on the 360. Why is that? Because the ps3 got a lot of ported games with the 1,5 year headstart the 360 has. Lets see how the 360 version of FFXIII turn out shall we? 4. The 360 has got no new games coming anytime soon that can compare to the huge first party franchises Sony has. All those games take advantage of Blu-Ray, HD, a processor that can handle twice as many polygons and simply cant be done on the 360. Exlusives on the 360 are exclusive because they are bought. While ps3 exclusives are exclusive because the 360 will burst out in flames if it tried to run those games. Take a look at the new Uncharted2 footage tomorrow and then tell me the 360 isnt showing it's age allready :) And ouch for those 5 slaps!

Oh man, not the console wars again. It's a decent package through and through. I won't say that that any console is better than the others, but I will say that the 360 is cheaper. Secondly who cares how old the games are if they are fun. People still play diablo, starcraft, pokemon, age of empires and many more. Why? Because they are fun. Also, I can get a one year live card (with one bonus month) for $42 on amazon. Next, the 360 does have 1080p, the failure is no longer 1/3 and especially not for the elite which is what we're discussing. Also, I dunno why people care about blu-ray. Besides that, it's a decent deal, and all based on personal preference whether you want a PS3 core or a 360 Elite.

@Bozo 1. The new 360s (falcons) are much more silent than the older ones, not too much difference from the Pos3 actually. Also playing games from the HDD makes the gaming experience COMPLETELY quiet. Can you do that on the Pos3? 2. And ALL Pos3 machines get the laser unit error. What's your point? 3. Yes 90% of all multiplat games are still much better visually on the 360. What's your excuse nowdays? The Pos3 has been out for years now, still it can't beat the 360. Truth. 4. Quality cost money, and Live certainly isn't expensive 5. Yada-yada. The cheapest deals on a Pro unit still beats the HELL out of any Pos3 deal out there. By far. I already slapped you in the face. Five times over.

goodness me, they have to do it dont they. everywhere i go i find ps3 fanboys complaining and trying to diss something that has nothing to do with them, very sad really. and $399 is about £230-250 so i dont know what all of you american are complaining about because your more or less paying the same as what brits do and we get ripped off all the time.

@Ozzie 1. Lol a loud Blu-Ray player? Now I heard it all. The first time I turned on my 360 I thought a airplane landed in my backyard! 2. It's 33% and even if it was 10% it will still suck. I felt turning my 360 was like playing Russion Roulete and losing, when I caught the RROD. Man I was not even surprised when it happened. 3. Better graphics? Hmm you seen KZ2, Uncharted2, Heavy Rain and GOW3, which will be native 1080p btw? 4.Live is cool but it costs 60 bucks a year 5.$399 is the same price as the KZ2 pack. Smaller HD though and only 1 game. but at least that game isnt 2 years old like Halo and Fable2 just isnt very good. I mean common a RPG that I compled in 6 hours lol. Slap me in the face and call me stupid but that does not sound like a good deal to me!!

@ antibanner the release of the xbox was in 2005 almost 4 years ago....you dont think they changed anything inside the console to make it preform better since then? obviously microsoft wont put a 5 year warranty on a machine no one in the world does unless you pay for it....i bought a 360 2 months ago for a hdmi input as i already had one...i got a 3 year warranty on it...so whats your point.... nothing!

Best bundle I've seen since the SNES came with Super Mario World.

@ bozo 1975 i said it once ill say it again because you seem to want to bring the one useless fact to the discussion there are more better multiplatform games out their than exclusives for any system....and nobody looks at the console and sees what exclusives there are because they arent even released yet!! they shouldnt take the chance. So when people buy a console they look at whats avalible and all the greatest games are multiplatform. With todays economy they would rather pay 199 to play those great multiplatform games then 399....exclusives dont run the system...because there arent that many not now not EVER

hmm... thats one amazing deal since theyre bundling it with the good games for 360... i want it, but i dont want to spend that much money when i already have a ps3... theyre old games... idk its just too much money

Oh. My God. If I didn't have a 360 this would be the bundle to push anyone over the edge. One of the best shooters ever and one of the most original RPGs ever make this bundle a hell of a must-buy deal. These are two of the best games I've played this console generation and I can say this much about it: This is a damn good console bundle. If you're thinking about getting a 360, get this bundle. Holy crap, like I said, if I didn't have a 360 with all the games I do now, this would be the bundle that would seal the deal for me. Sweet deal, Microsoft!

I only have a PS3, but this is a great deal !!! These along with Gears of War 2, are the games that I envy the 360 for having lol. Definitely gonna consider getting this.

I sent my xbox in to get fixed and got it back in less than a week and a free month of live. 1 days live wasnt working properly for me so i called them and told them that i was mad and they offered me a free month of live....i said no i already have 13 months as i bought a subscription....so they gave me 800 free points to download something from market place. so if you say microsoft doesnt care then you obviously never dealt with them. they want to make you happy they have to make you happy and im glad i do deal with them and give them my business.

Better performing multiplat games with higher res, better framerate, better anti-aliasing, better textures, more DLC etc. No BLUR!! 4. XBox Live 5. Almost 200$ cheaper than any Pos3 deal SOUNDS BLOODY GOOD TO ME!!

Not to bad at all actually. Sometimes I'm a little upset that I have all 3 consoles already when deals like this stroll around, oh well. Anyway, for anyone who doesn't own a 360 yet thats a really impressive deal. Didn't expect that to happen.

But I sure hope people do some research before they spend $399 on this unless they are a hardcore Halo or Gears fan. But seriously people could feel pretty disappointed when the ps3 exclusives start to poor in this year.

Yes, I must also say, along the "copying" topic, Sony copied Nintendo for making a console that would make them money, because they saw potential in this business. And Microsoft copied Sony for the same reason. I know I will be flamed, but just saying that business is business.

@ bencarps41192 theres still time before anything is released....evreyone is acting like these games deserve 10/10 comming on the ps3. remember haze? i thought that was supposed to be amazing game and it bombed killzone 2 isnt selling very well even if it is a good game money counts. only thing sony is garunteed to keep as an exclusive is the games they publish like God of war. They lost the biggest exclusive of them all however final fantasy 13 which mark my words will outsell MGS4 on the PS3 and will probably sell more copys of it on the 360. All multiplatform games sell more on the 360. Fallout 3 GTA4 call of duty 4 and world at war. Dont belive me look it up before you give me a thumbs down.

OMG that's an epic bundle,I remember I bought the Pro buncle 2 weeks after the 360 came out--system,20 GB hardrive--that's it -.- I wish I bought my 360 from Costco cuz then I would just be like "I got the RROD,I want to trade in for the elite bundle now."

The Uncharted bundle is $100 more. I don't know how this turned into a flame war about games. This is the best bundle our their period. Who else is giving away TWO of their top sellers? Sony and Nintendo should take note cause this is awesome.

If you really want to test your FPS abilities, try Halo3 online. Fierceful competition there. I would say unmatched on console. Fable II is also quite OK. It crashes alot on me since the NXE though. And from what I know, Lionhead Studios seems not to give a crap about it despite there's an endless thread about it on their site.

And although I prefer Sony, I must say... The Sony fanboys are doing the same thing here that the Microsoft fanboys do in the playstation forums. Thats a very bad thing...

Either way this is a smart move by Microsoft with realesing these 2 games in a 360 bundle. And as i allways say both the 360 adn ps3 are great consoles so shut up and stop fighting over it cuz it is stupid.

That's a pretty good deal. If you were holding out for a better deal, this is it. FABLE II IS AWESOME!!!

The only quality game there that isn't completely mediocre is MGS4.Yeah, that's what i'm sayin.A buncha wannabe FPS's (don't get me wrong, Halo is RIGHT up there in that department) and one game that doesn't have much but great graphics, LBP.That's what i'm sayin.

and also all you sony users claiming this is your year remember you already lost 4 exclusives last year gta 4 tekken devil may cry and final fantasy 13....what makes you think you wont lose any more....

@ shackle_dackle if you havent noticed this is a 360 blog. I didnt bash the ps3 on my own i did it because you ps3 fanboys are bashing the 360 on here....so what i defend what i like because you bash it....simple dont make me the bad guy go and read all the comments that have so many thumbs down that you have to click on it to read it. I garuntee they all have something saying about rrod or the e74 error
