Halo 3, Fable II join Elite Xbox 360 bundle

This an extremely attractive package. This is definitely the best bundle I have seen in a videogame system in quite some time. Not only do you get Halo3, a truly elite game, but in addition you get Fable II. I think most sane people would say this beats their bundle from last year, Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones. Simply put, this bundle is awesome.

If you never owned a 360 and you dont try to get your hands on this your probably crazy. Seriously though this is a very aggressive move by Microsoft sony needs to grow a pair and drop some crazy deals NOW

So how much does it cost MS to crap out a 360 these days? I know Nintendo's making money on the Wii, and has been almost since the beginning, and Sony's still taking a loss on the PS3, but has MS crossed over into the realm of profit on the 360 on all models yet? I remember hearing sometime early last year that they were making a little better than even on the Core/Arcade units, losing a little on the Pro/Premium, and doing pretty good on the Elite. What's the break down like these days?

Come to think of it... I wonder what Sony's business model really is. Several times I've read quotes saying something to the effect of, "We are confident with our stellar 1st class lineup of great games that we will be ahead when this console generation is done." Well guess what Sony: -This generation is half over -You are clearly in last place -I don't see MS completely dropping the ball anytime soon. -Most importantly: Wii has won. Face it. You developed a mega console that does too many things. You marketed it to do too many things and now you can't afford to be competitive with it. Anyway...good for you MS. Take a product that more people like and make it even more attractive. The funny thing is, I'm no fanboy. I own all three systems. 360 is just the one that I actually use. This wasn't meant to flame you elozl. Your simple post just really got me thinking. Maybe Sony will blow our minds at E3 but I doubt it. The PS3 will probably just continue to be my bluray player.

These are gonna be gone pretty quickly I bet.... Your move Sony, you better give something of equal bang-for-the-buck to the 360-hating fanboys, or the margin between the PS3 and Xbox is gonna get even bigger :D

Could care less since I already have a 360, but for those that don't, this package will certainly attract newcomers.

Man, I thought Forza 2 and Ultimate alliance was a decent bundle when I got it but this is awesome. Good work MS, this will sell a boatload! Sony...for god's sake drop the price of the PS3 so I can buy one already. I'm not paying the current price.

Love this old Halo 3 review, Greg was dead right. As for all the oh so clever RROD references, geez Sonyboys, come up with some new material for once! That joke is old, like Resistance 2. Accept they didn't fix Resistance 2 yet. Here's something to ponder: Where are all your exclusive demos and extra game content? Remind us all exactly why HOME is free again...

That's a very good deal. I don't have a 360 yet, but hopefully when I run into some money I can pick up this bundle. Seems well, well worth it.

Wow, this is a GREAT deal for those who haven't bought a 360 yet, or those who want to upgrade!

I've avoided getting an XBox360 all this time, but, who knows, this bundle may make it all worth while. First, I'll have to double-check how their warranty is so I'd be secure if I encounter any severe technical glitches.

Err might i ask why? I think its because the Arcade is eating up much of the Premium sales, and they need a SKU strictly for the gamer who is willing to splash out on more Regardless, both Halo 3 and Fable 2 are selling very well, so why these games?

you know, its got good games, but i cant risk that red light :( sorry microsoft but vista, 360, and windows mobile. I think i might be as done as it gets with your products.

Funny, This is the move that I expected from Sony and not Microsoft. To be able to purchase an Elite bundled with two of the more popular games (from a sales stance) is certainly a very appealing package for a new console buyer, and if MS plans to sell it at 399.99 (The same price as the entry level PS3) then I could see great success moving this package in an otherwise slow period for gaming (the summer lull)

@ rebel_bunk34 I have been an Xbox supporter since the beginning, and let me tell you that you're flat out dead wrong. I have taken better care of my 360 than anyone I know for any system... Simply because I KNEW they were prone to break. Guess what happened? My launch box got RROD about 2 years after purchase date. The next one they sent me lasted another year before RROD. I'm on my 3rd console now. I'm not complaining at all, because 1. Microsoft repairs them for free 2. It took them a total of 6 days to receive mine and get me a new one. But your claim that it is the consumer's fault is a lie in its purest form.

now thats a great deal. I've been wanting to buy another Halo 3 game for my son so we can link them from the game room to his room... I'll kill two birds with one stone.... This is a great deal. Microsoft seems to really get gamers.

Again people still blame the RROD, even though it has been fixed with the Elite's. Also people...if you get the RROD, its your own fault. Not the system.

That is a great buy and a nice starter kit for anyone buying their first xbox 360.

wow, thats a good deal :), Halo is awesome and so is Fable, also good to see an RPG do so well and this will get the genre known so much more among the casual gamers. Plus, I want nextflix!
