Hell yes! New IPs can exist and sell well in today's shooter-centric industry. It's refreshing.

Nice to hear it sold well, hope to see more of them types of games, nice to have variety i say.

I was pretty negative about this game at first but playing through it now it really is engaging on a different level than any other game I can think of. and the interior spaces are gorgeous. it's a trip, and also a new feeling experince from say watching a movie. I have a rent on it cause im cheap but I hate to miss playing through alternate scenarios and stuff. glad it's doing so well.

Imagine heavy rain in multiplayer, two people fighting, ramming each other with their cars, racing to reach the other side of the electric wires, or just chasing each other while jumping over obstacles; and it all depends on who presses the right buttons first.

If I had money to spend I'd be buyin more games. =/ PS3 exclusives are the bomb, but sometimes you just buy stuff like SSF4 first cuz of your friends.

Revolutionary game. There is nothing like it, that's what I love about it.

ps3 owner's need to wake up and support great exclusives like this, 1.5 million worldwide is good for this type of game but producing these games are not cheap and ps3 exclusives need to produce better sales figures, its a shame.

Actual it is a role playing game in the basic sense of the word, but id probably lump it in the horror genre with RE and Silent Hill, albeit not a supernatural one.

Glad it sold well. Heavy Rain was a great game.

I would love to buy this game and support them. However with it only being for the PS3 I can't buy it.. release it on the PC and 360, you'll see more sales.

Nice to see a game receive what it deserves .. but I expected that because Sony gamers know quality games when they see one and they appreciate it ..

wow thats really good for a rental only type of game.

You can add one more sale to the list once I see a good price drop and the all these huge game releases slow down a bit.

Game of the Year, thus far, in my personal opinion.

Finished it three times .almost got all the trophys.and i downloaded the soundtrack .ps3 exclusives are the best. killzone 2.infamous.uncharted1/2. mgs4.heavy rain.gow3.

Never Played it and never will but congrats to a practically unknown publisher (in my mind never heard of them before this) to do well...keep making games like this just because us old gamers wont buy them doesnt mean u stop making them! 1.5 million is a complete hit game esspecially a new IP Congrats!

Its hilarious how fanboys clash :D, and by the way, I am a ps3 fanboy cause I think Microsoft people are very greedy, kind of like republicans.

over a million for an unconventional, new IP is fantastic. It whooped Fahrenheir/Indigo Prophecy and Omikron: the Nomad Soul, their previous new IP's by a large margin.

even though it has its problems, heavy rain is very deserving of all of its profits. I hope that these guys keep making more games.

Sales can go quite high when you make a game look good and hype it up, let's not forget to mention developers lying to make their game look better. Ala Call of Duty 4 to Modern Warfare 2, a masterpiece to trash. How's that P2P pay to play service working out for you? It's just that easy.

Great game lots of fun. Debth, emotion.... I just wanted more to happen to that @%*#$#& #@&*#*$ of a *#@%*#@ idiot detective. Man I am gonna play again and see if I can get him killed.

Heavy Rain is an awesome game. Definetely worth paying full price for! I hope to see Heavy Rain 2 during the PS3's lifespan!:)

@psx warrior i feel your pain man..my 360 died on me and i almost got rid of it but at the time a ps3 or gaming pc wasnt right for me...the first halo is the best in my mind and i think if u gave the xbox another shot you'll really enjoy the other 2 haols..but hey just my opinion...and i really dont think microsoft is up to giving the other 2 games to pc..not just yet

@slicedbread117 I enjoyed the first Halo game, but after having two x-box consoles crash and burn on me, and the 360 having so much rrod problems, I haven't played the second or third ones. Tell Microsoft to release better hardware please, or put the other Halo games on the pc and I might consider playing the rest of them.

@jones kyle i was interested to see how the game sold...i personally think that the ps3 has some very good games but i don't like people saying halo sux when it doesnt in anyway..and if it does please tell me how

Finally, a game that is a little different gets a chance. I'm happy to see Heavy Rain doing well. Now please, put it on PC where it belongs.

Can't we just have one topic where we focus on the main story and NOT Halo or something for once?. With that said I own all 3 of the Halo games (main series) so don't even try and say I bash it. Good for Heavy Rain ^^, amazing game.

Great to see this game sell well. I only hope Demons Souls also sells as many. That is also one deserving game of such sales.

I'm VERY happy that this game is selling well. It will help bring new and more variety of games to the genre.

Glad to see the game is doing well, but my complete lack of a PS3 is really bothering me, especially after seeing these sales.
