Waffle can attest to the (absurd) excitement I have for finally getting a copy of this game in my hands! :D I have been searching for this game for over a year...I love it when a small goal is finally reached!

Nice haul! That's a good price for PSIV complete! It's the only one of the 4 NA Phantasy Star releases for the Genesis I haven't found yet. Congrats! :)

When I spotted the red box and realized what I was looking at I almost laughed out loud in the store, but kept my cool. :D

It is in great shape and it even has that 'new' smell to it so the past owner didn't take it out very much which is good for me. What is funny is that for the PS series that is the first one that I actually own so now I have to find the others lol.

W:KoD only makes my 3rd console Wizardry game. I know the majority are on the PC...and unfortunately I'm not as interested in obtaining them yet since I rarely play games on my PC anymore. I think the only NA console Wizardry game I lack now (not counting handheld systems) is Wizardry: Heart of the Maelstrom (SNES). I've come across it several times, but it's always pretty junky-looking. I'll get it eventually...then probably move on to the handheld Wizardry releases, then finally follow up with all the PC releases. So far, W:TotFL is my favorite...quite an excellent little dungeon crawler.

And I don't really know anything about Destiny of an Emperor other than what I've seen from screen-shots and GS player reviews. It seems to be a bit more expensive than other NES RPGs of the time, but I'm glad I found it and am looking forward to giving it a go!

This game looks awesome! I am trying to convince a loved one that it would be a really nice gift for me...not that it's my b-day anytime soon, but it's still nice to receive gifts just because...right? Not sure if my puppy-dog eyes were working when they left for work a little while ago...but they do happen to work in an electronics dept that sells all new video game gear...so, my fingers are crossed!

Congrats on all your purchases and I'd like to hear your initial thoughts on RoF when you get a chance to play it. ;)

Also forgot to say pre-ordered its guide at Amazon UK, about £12, they changed the release date now and say they'll contact when they know when they get it in stock... I'm hoping they aren't going to cancel its orders :(

At least I didn't have to pay too much.

Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds (PS) - used, complete, near mint, £8.03.  Based off the musical but different to the PC game of the same name.

I've had the Gamecube version of KotT on my wish-list for a while - I think it got better reviews at the time than the other formats - but I couldn't really pass up a PS2 version for £2.50.  I've haven't played it yet but it looks pretty fun.  I didn't know it wasn'treleased outside of Europe... usually its the other way around :( Didn't know there was a sequel either till you mentioned 'series'.  I just looked it up.  I'll have to keep my eyes open for it, looks like a bit of a rarity!

Edit: Forgot to mention, the reason the game initially caught my eye and I added it to my wishlist was that the soundtrack was apparently done by Within Temptation, who used to be awesome and are still rather not bad :P

I have it and Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie are on my top 10 best games of all time list. Nuts and Bolts is nowhere near close to being on that list, but it is a good game still, just not as fun as the originals. To be honest it ismeant to capture a diffrent aduidence, no longer the platforming audience its more like a Diddy Kong Racing if anything.

Hizang - Thanks for the response. I'll have to try it sometime to see for myself. It would be hard for current games to capture the retro feel of some the original n64 and earlier style games.

Download vouchers are a disappointment. That would bug me as well, especially when spending the extra cash to get the limited editions.

Spider-man (EU version w/ UPC sticker), ~$40 when available (one usually appears on eBay every few months; the last one I saw sold high)
