[QUOTE="Apathetic_Prick"]I just bought a white DS with Deep Labyrinth. Really cool game.waflerevolution
I want DL so bad...

It's an east-meets-west schmorgasbord.  I mean, it has the rune concept from Arx Fatalis, the weapon combat (well, sword combat) is just like Daggerfall's, and then you have all the conventions of a JRPG, too (fruity artwork included).  Oh, and your sword levels up, too.  And the mic is used for the game, too.  I had to "blow" dust off a cairn that had a spell etched on it.  I don't get the review here at all, so far the game is really really good.

It's getting hard to shop when you are being kicked out of stores xX.

Today, I traded in most of my holiday sweep doubles and hit the 2501 game mark with these purchases, which include two Atlus titles:

  1. Romance of the Three Kingdoms, NES, n. mint, cart only, $4.95
  2. Wacky Races, NES, v. fine, cart only, $4.95
  3. Gunship, double jewel-case version, PS1, n. mint, complete, $12.95
  4. Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage, PS1, n. mint, complete, $29.95 (about $5 too steep, but it's a rare one)
  5. Real World Golf, PS2, n. mint, complete, $27 (yes, it's the $70 pulley-system golf simulator)
  6. Donkey Kong 3-e, E-reader, new/sealed, $2.99
  7. Contact, DS, n. mint, complete, $29.99
I've now got 76 of the 108 U.S. releases (variants included) that Atlus has developed, published, or distributed. Some of the remaining 32 will be easy to get, but some (like Jack Bros.) are going to be tough to find in the wild.

Congratulations. Dude, you are officially insane. But... it's a good kind of insane. It's a level of insanity I wish I could reach.

First I buy the BK games after yelling about them, and now this...

-DT Racer (PS2)
-Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk (PS2)
-Suzuki TT Superbikes (PS2)

All in a Wal-Mart three-pack for 12.88, after I called them "collection filler."  I'm morbidly obsessed with getting 100 PS2 games and apparently I'll buy anything.

Ah, collection filler...

I picked up a new copy of Bomberman Land Touch on the DS ($29.99) using a Best Buy gift card from Christmas.

I've asked and been told that they don't know other then it's for why I was fired. (I'm sure they don't know the real reason)

Wafler, don't tehy have service refusal laws where ya hail from?  See, here in Canada, if a place kicked you out without having legal reasons to do so, there's a chance that you can report them to a bureau who will investigate them.  Even if they aren't fined, being investigated by, say, Corporate and Consumer Affairs looks very very bad.  Don't you have any watchdogs like that where you are?

Anyway, I just picked up Super Mario World GBA for my DS.  The remake of the original Mario Bros. arcade arcade that's included makes it soooo much sweeter.

I bought the very same $13 Wal-Mart 3-pack only because of Rebel Raiders.  With the exception of the Burnout and Wipeout series, I really don't care for racing games, so I honestly could have left the other two.  But if they come in a three pack for just thirteen bucks - why not?  I figured I'd give 'em a try for that price.  And having done so, I can say that I'll probably never touch them again.  But RR is alright.  It's obviously a budget title though, and it sure ain't no Ace Combat, but its still pretty fun.

I think the closest thing to that we have are general discrimination laws (not necessarily racial or sexual) would cover this, however they probably have some "justifiable" reason, whether its BS or Not, as to why they refuse to serve him.

Anyways, Yesterday I went to a small store (nonchain) that is alittle ways out there from me and got:

POP TT (xbox): $15

Otogi: Free (BOGO on used Xbox games)

Iron Man: Saturn: $10

Ill tell you, I love this store, they sell all sorts of old gaming stuff at reasonable prices usually. They have shelves and shelves of SNES/N64/ and Gen games. Unfortunately they usually dont have much worth actually picking up on those shelves. They have a full stock of new games and a few imports along with good deals like "buy a 360 premium for regular price and get two launch titles free".

Side note: I know this isnt the right thread, but while Im here: They have Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness for the N64 for $24. This is compared to the normal Castlvania 64 they have for like $5. Whats the difference and is the $24 one a deal or a ripoff?

I've been looking for this one for awhile...it's proving to be tough to find.  I'm a Castlevania mark, so I can't really give an unbiase opinion on it, but $24 sounds like a decent deal to me.  For comparison, it runs anywhere from $24.46-$34.95 on eStarland.com depending on completeness/condition.

What I know about it only comes from reviews, but what I gathered was that it was the same game with a different character.  If that's true, then it's a major ripoff unless you're a completist.

waffles, buddy, you don't bring it to the courts first, you bring it to the attention to a watchdog agency - just make sure to cite said track record.

Oh, I believe it would be a lie, Im just saying that there probably is some justifiable reason for them banning you. Even if it is fabricated and completely without merit. However, is there a reason that you can think of why they would ban you, even if it isn't really a good/justifiable/legal reason to do so?

Justifiable and without merit?  You're making my head spin!  :P

I recently picked up a copy of Nintendogs, Super Robot Taisen: OG, and Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol.

I played Karaoke Revolution with my wife and in-laws the nigth after I picked it up.  Good times. :P

It was game shopping day for me. :p

I purchased a Nyko Game 360 Face Custom Faceplate maker today. It's very sweet. Currently I'm using this "Target" faceplate that comes with it. It's very well made and I can't wait to design some templates in the future.

Also, I picked up some game deals.
Dead Or Alive 3 Platinum Hits version, case is damaged, but has it's instructions, and the disk is in excellent shape. Cost less then $5 to buy.
I also got Dead or Alive Ultimate set, brand new for $14.99.
And Quake 4 for 360 for $22.

I bought 2000 Microsoft points online cause it seems for the last two weeks, to find any points card in any store seems darn near IMPOSSIBLE to do. My Walmart has been sold out for two weeks, so that means no discount for me. T_T I'm tired of looking so I caved and bought the points online. I'll download MS. Pac Man today and save the points for other things later.

Working_Stiff

I'm sure whatever he is using will just be a lie and I doubt a court would believe me over him even with his track record... also, hella nice buys!

Oh, I believe it would be a lie, Im just saying that there probably is some justifiable reason for them banning you. Even if it is fabricated and completely without merit. However, is there a reason that you can think of why they would ban you, even if it isn't really a good/justifiable/legal reason to do so?

if you mean his personal reason. ya, it's to hide why he fired my store. I'm pretty sure we are all banned.

[QUOTE="Working_Stiff"]Im just saying that there probably is some justifiable reason for them banning you. Even if it is fabricated and completely without merit.inkwolf

Good times. :P

cool buys! [QUOTE="GAMECAMILLER"]It was game shopping day for me.

Pac Man today and save the points for other things later.

kick arse! [QUOTE="usagi704"]Just received today from an eBay auction a white Sega Saturn and some other stuff. Sega Saturn (white; JPN), w/ cables and controller, EX+ condition original Saturn pad (black; US), EX condition Saturn memory cart (JPN), n. mint Fighters Megamix, EX+ condition, complete Virtua Fighter Remix, fair- condition, complete King of Fighters '97, manual/case only; no game - the seller didn't look inside and sent a KOF '96 game instead of '97 King of Fighters '96, fair, disc only Street Fighter Real Battle on Film (aka, Street Fighter: The Movie), fair- condition, disc & case, but no manual Samurai Shodown IV, fair, disc only Total for the lot: $52.50 The Saturn is the nicest part of the lot, which is great since that I primarily want I wanted. I found a couple of neat things today. I have begun my Holiday sweep of northern Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and Illinois. Some people send Christmas cards, I hit the pawn shops and game stores in a multi-state area (I sent Christmas cards, too; I am not without Holiday cheer).

The first fruit:

  1. The Battle for Olympus, NES, n. mint w/ sleeve, $4.95
  2. Ikari III: The Rescue, NES, n. mint under the gummy sticker residue, cart only, $4.95 (a long-term target)
  3. Shingen the Ruler, NES, n. mint, cart only, $6.95 (been after this one for a while, too)
  4. Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition, n. mint except for chipped case, $9.95 (too bad it wasn't the Netlink version)
  5. Pro-Pinball, SAT, n. mint, complete with foam block, $9.95
  6. Nintendo e-Reader, new, sealed, $4.99 (this contains the original cards with Donkey Kong, Jr.-e, and was a pleasant surprise at a Blockbuster Gamerush)

you mean besides fireing the entire #1 store in the district, some region and even some country? he's keeping a manager on at a store I was forced to close and open too many times to count. she is almost never there, doesn't do anything by the book and sometimes not at all. her stores numbers are garbage except in trades but for some reason she was never written up, repremaned or fired... I braught this up to my store, and a friends store. a few weeks later a friend that was higher up in the chain had warned us to lay off because someone was losing their job becase of it. we assumed the other store but it ended up being ours.

my best guess is they are havin' an affair, why else be that shady and secretive?

it really is rediculous, especially after he (the DM) has lost 3 court cases to people he fired that refused to back down. he told corperate we all quit, he told the state we quit and even was a comple nub and forged some confessions. the guy is full of lies, deception and shadyness...

where abouts are you going in Illinois?

I changed my plans and went no farther North than Texas, but I was headed to Jacksonville (just west of Springfield) to visit my folks.  They asked me not to go, since they are still in the process of moving into their new house and don't have accommodation space for guests.  Jacksonville has only ~22k people, but it is home to two small vintage game stores, not that that factored into my desire to go...

Pay day was good to me today, all that money I made from Christmas week and all those hors overtime have really paid off. I picked up Viva Pinata Collector's Edition today for $45. It maybe be a long time before I get to play it, but at least I got it before this version disappears. You should have saw me. I must have stood staying at the darn game case for 20 minutes pondering it. xD

Only about $11 out of my pocket...still had some money left on the Sears gift card.  It's regular packaging as well (not Platinum Hits) for those of you who care about such things.

LOL, I do that all the time too.

In fact, just yesterday I finally bought a game, Mobile Light Force 2, that I used to ponder over a lot at Best Buy.  I found it at the bottom of the bargain bin at Circuit City; and it was obvious that it had been there a while.  The cellophane was gunky and starting to discolor and even the ink on the security strip underneath the cellophane was dried and flaking off.  The actual game case was perfectly fine underneath all of that though.  It was the only copy there, which I considered as a sign, so I picked it up.  :P

Full acquisition list from yesterday:

Circuit City
Mobile Light Force 2 (PS2) $9
Alien Hominid (PS2) $12
Karaoke Revolution Country (PS2) $16

GameStop
Every Extend Extra (PSP) $19
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 (GBA) $29

I did a trade in and used a gift card at GS so the out of pocket was more like $15 there.

For how I finally got a PSP see my blog. Also, now that I have bought a PSP wait for Sony's announcement of a new version of the PSP coming next week.

I know aspro was referring to a dual analog stick PSP, but the timing on this is still pretty good:

Gold PSP announced for Japan.

How is Every Extend Extra?GAMECAMILLER

Well, I've only played it a little bit so far (a little less than an hour), but I can say the game is pretty fun, and slightly unconventional.  Unconventional in that the only way to attack your "enemies" or score any points is to blow yourself up.

It can be kinda challenging, as there are alot of things to keep track of while you play; the timer, the number of ships you have left, and the "quicken" level.  The higher the "quicken" level is, the more enemies appear on the screen - and the more enemies there are, the better, as their explosions cause chain reaction explosions.  So you want things to get as hectic as possible and then blow yourself up in the right place to kick off a big chain reaction.

But for more on the mechanics, you can read the GameSpot review.  I generally agree with what Ryan D. wrote up.

The game reminds me of three other games: (1) Star Control; specifically the Shofixti craft, because you blow yourself up (2) Shinobi for the PS2, because the only way to kill the bosses is though large chain kills of the lesser enemies, and (3) Geometry Wars, obviously; although EEE isn't quite as colorful.

I paid about $10 for mine, so the price is good if it's green boxed, as Wafle said.  I have never played it though, I'm not much for driving or racing games.

I finally got my free stuff from gamespot.com for entering some random contest they threw up for 10 seconds abuot 4 months ago.  Contained:

NBA2K7 signed by 3 dudes I don't know College Hoops 2K7, a 2K Sports T-shirt and a 2K sports nerf basketball and back-board.
