I just pre-ordered Chulip for PS2, hoping it finally will get released.

Also, pre-ordered Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (DS), because I'm loving Trace Memory.

Anyone else excited about these games?

AWESOME!

Yeah I'm real happy with this purchase. I've only been through the very beginning part, but I was very impressed with the visuals and the gameplay, and I love that the whole game is Japanese dialog with English subtitles.

I took the College Hoops 2K7 game I got for free to the store and got $65 in credit, which paid for:

Elite Beat Agents

GTA:Vice City Stories which were $30 a piece.

Also recently obtained for free three cartridge games for the TRS-80, Microbes, Starblaze and Stellar Life Line, which were games my parents had at their house that I thought had been lost to the sands of time.

You've tweaked my retro gaming antennae...I'm trying to get my boss to give me the old TRS-80 that's just sitting in storage at work.

I agree totally. I also got Genji for $10 earlier this year and finished it. I liked it and was hoping the sequel would have been better, but apparently the verdict is that it isn't. Stuff I got today: Xenosaga Ep. 1, PS2, EX case/manual FAIR disc, complete, $10.00 Bloody Roar 4, PS2, EX-, complete, $10.00 PaRappa the Rapper 2, PS2, EX, complete, $10.00 Pinball Hall of Fame, PS2, NM case/manual EX disc, complete, $6.39 Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, PS2, new, $29.99 Steambot Chronicles, PS2, new, $19.99 (box said $19.99, but was rung up as $29.99, so I'm going to have to fix that little problem tomorrow) PS3 SIXAXIS controller (now with an Emmy award! ), new, $49.99 (decided to pick up the extra controller early in anticipation for next month's PS3 purchase)

today... I relapsed into shopping for games... I need help bad...

taking gmesnpr's advice; I had gone to pick up MvC2 for the XBOX and had a spending issue...

all new... at MSRP...
Gundam Seed: Battle Assault (gameboy advance)($30, last copy, light sticker stain)
Digimon World DS (DS)($30 sealed)
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 (GBA)($30 sealed, mint)
Rebelstar (gba)($10, for a friend)

all used but miont and complete.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (xbox) (approx. $55)
Resident Evil 2 (GCN)(free - b2get1)
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (gcn) (approx $30)

my friend for whom I baught RS gave me:
the DQ8 outer box to make mine complete (a bit beat up but better then nothing)
the MMX5 case to make mine complete
the Suikoden manual to make mine complete
the Suikoden II manual for trading to another good friend ifhe *glares at Garrett* still wants it
the Jo Jos Bizare adventure(DC) case and manual to make mine complete
the Capcom VS SNK (DC) case to make mine complete
the Chrono Trigger (SNES) manual (no cover and written on)
help...
and tomorrow never dies(ps1) case & manual (extra)waflerevolution
Those are all awesome man, you don't need any help. The only perplexing thing is the SRT:OG2 purchase. You already have it, did you get that copy just for mint?

I picked up a couple of SNK games recently:

Alpha Mission, NES, n. mint, loose, $4.95
Iron Tank, NES, v. fine, loose, $4.95
Dexterity, GB, v. fine, loose, $7.95

I'm not nearly as close to getting all of North American games from SNK (29 of 64) as I am with Atlus (77 of 108 ). I should clarify that I'm only talking about the games that SNK has developed or published not on their own hardware. If I factor in the Neo Geo, Neo CD, and NGPC, then I have an even smaller percentage.

Smurf: Rescue in Gargamel's Castle (2600) Off the Wall (2600) Summer Games (2600) $15.00 Canadian shipped. Smurf completes my Atari 2600 collection (75 carts) unless I find a great deal. Have all the games I personally was originally interested in when I started buying 2600 stuff.

I love that game too. I've attempted going after all the 80's cartoon based games a few times only to fail...

With a description like this, Chulip HAS to be good: "Improve your reputation so you can kiss the girl who lives in the pipe underneath the ancient tree... and spend the rest of your life with her."gakon5

Ha!  I'm sold on it.

Yup. That and the Japanese version's online commercial was a riot. I like to support localization of off-the-wall games, and Chulip has been on my radar for a while.

It's a a lot more than 78%.  If you calculate it based on the original amount, you made more than 1500% profit.  Either way, good job.

-GoldenEye 007 (N64) cart only-$17.96.

Did I overpay?  Heck yes I did.  But I really like GoldenEye, and I need some more N64 games.  It's one of the systems I have the fewest games for.

No, it's 1500%. Selling for sixteen times what you paid only nets you a profit of 15 times what you paid. If you pay $5 and sell for $80, then your profit is $75. $75 is fifteen times the price paid, or 1500% profit.

DOA makes me sad. I bought 3 for my XBox, thinking it would be a good beat 'em up, and I was really, really disappointed. I'll stick with 2D fighters for now!

Soul Calibur 2 on the XBox and NGC are both very unbalanced; Spawn and Link are uber-characters.

Jollyroger78, I have tried Soul Calibur 2, but for some reason I never really got into it. :( I did prefer the characters and play control to Tekken and DOA.

Fair enough.  I wasn't crazy about Soul Calibur II (even though I've played the crap out of all three versions).  I liked Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast much better.  I also really liked Virtua Fighter 4.

Of course, there is always Fight Club...;)
